I’m a huge Padang Food Lovers, and ready to travel anywhere else just to find the right taste. I lived in Dubai, and willingly to travel to Abudhabi just to taste the Rendang that I heard from my fellow Indonesian. 1. the location is quite unique, bit in the basement, eventually you’ll spot some Asian-Indonesian sit down on the front entrance. 2. Came only for Rendang. had the set menu3. They sell some Indonesian original food products as well4. Price and taste wise, Nice!!!Everytime I visited Abudhabi, I never skipped visiting the place
Having very few places for Indonesian food I decided to give this place a try. It’s a small restaurant at the basement and I decided to order the ikan bilado, chicken satay and potato fritters. The potato fritters were good. The fish was good too but not great like the ones I have had before. They ran out of peanut sauce so they couldn’t make the satay.
Not bad, but won’t be my first option if I’m craving my home country food. You guys can do much better. Sometimes the item on the menu is not available. Hope they can improve that.
Value for money. Tastes that’s close to home. Tasty food. Rendang was good. Sambal telur was pleasing to the palate as it wasn’t too spicy. Truly enjoyed the food.
It’s cheap Indonesian food. Staff are just average. Cleanliness and ambience has really no role in this place. It’s more like a street restaurant in Asia. Very limited space to sit. Food is just average. Good to satisfy some cravings that’s all. They would just reheat food that’s displayed at the counter and give to us. Which means no freshness and that’s sad.
Glad to find this hiddem gem. They have all my favorites and all the best indofood. Rendang is very delicious, I can say that its the best rendang Ive tried in Abu dhabi. Tempe and achovies are also good. They hve this buffet style, Ive tried almost all in the buffet and all are good. I jst dnt get it why they do a buffet style then they will charge for each and evry food u eat. So I end paying more because I try bits of evrything.
