An amazing place to be. The croissant served was made to perfection and the coffee was great accompaniment to it. Just writing the review so they keep up the taste in the long run. A really nice hangout be it with family or friends or with yourself. Don’t miss it. Give it a try.

Food and beverages: Let me start by saying THE DATE CARDAMOM LATE is amazing it’s a great take on the Arabian coffee I liked their rendition. They also serve some sandwiches Atmosphere: Wonderful work atmosphere they offer tables with cables if you bring your laptop great for students since it’s beside a university Negative: 1. I told the waiter to put a little bit of syrup she of course didn’t care about what I said and it almost ruined my experience but maybe she didn’t hear me. 2. I would have liked freshly made sandwiches

If it were not it being near me, I really would not visit this cafe much, even though it does have some good light bites, like the chicken avo toast and chocolate brownie, with a nice, woody environment to work in as well. The coffee is at best mediocre, and the staff are untrained in hospitality. Unlike some place like Starbucks, where servers always cheerfully greet me, some of the individual staffers are not only cold, but rude. They take a very long time to clear plates and once when I asked them to, a member of staff gave me some attitude, and said that “we will later, can you see that we’re all busy” in an impatient manner. Would strongly advise management to improve BS’s customer service. Finally, this place is overpriced. Def not worth travelling to check out. Also, for the environmentally conscious, BS only provides disposable cutlery, and does not provide condiments such as ketchup to go with savoury bites. Coffee cups are also of subpar quality, and often have leaky lids.Update: I took a leap of faith and gave their matcha latte a go. Gosh, they just mixed milk and matcha powder together, and made me pay 28aed for that bull crap. Bro, I can do that myself at home too. What a rip off! Matcha flavour was lacking and the drink was watery. Does not compare to Starbucks green tea lattes in other regions. I must mention I don’t have any affiliations with Starbucks, but I see indie coffee shops like BlackSmith posing as an alternative to Starbucks, but it just does not measure up! Never again will I order their matcha latte. I feel very, very ripped off.

The decor of the café was very appealing and loved the set up but the food and drink on offer were overpriced and not worth it. This was the worst Almond Croissant I ever had. Very dense and even had hints of being overcooked (as was apparent by the dark brown coloring on parts of the croissant). Very disappointing!

I come in here once a month to stock up on beans and order a really really good V60 or Aeropress. I love their coffee so much I use their exact Aeropress recipe at home! Their bags of beans are decently priced, roasted not too long ago (7-10 days), and taste wonderful. My only hangup is that their cold brew bottle prices are extortionate but I guess I can just make some at home. Definitely a go to place for specialty coffee lovers!

The cookie was delicious and I it is my first time to try a fruity coffee ( I think it were beans from cost rica ). It tasted different somehow.

The Ambitious Glutton does not wear flannel shirts, or have a hipster beard, but he feels like he should have to appreciate the vibe of blacksmith coffee. Not sure if that is a positive or negative. But the cookie was fresh and the cappuccino ok, coupled with friendly staff and this Ambitious Glutton is content.
