(Updated)Feb’18 – Tried the Mandi and Zurbian recently. I was really impressed by the Mandi, that I ordered the Zurbian hoping it would be better, but it still felt very confused. Also, the quantity of the Zurbian was quite less for some reason, as evident in the picture. Not impressed.May’17 – The last time I tried to order from this place most items were sold out, so I reminded myself to try this place when I could keeping in mind to call early.I did call in quite early the second time around, but forgot to check the reviews on what’s best to order, and ended up​ ordering the Chicken Mandi and Madfoon. The food was delivered quite fast, around the half mark.The rice on both the dishes were good, flavorful but quite subtle. The fried onion was a really nice touch. Though the Mandi chicken looked it’s part, it lacked the kinda flavor you’d expect. The Madfoon chicken fared better. However, one let down was though they were cooked well, neither chicken had the kind of tenderness or softness you’d normally expect.I’d save my final thoughts for now, at least until I’ve tried the Zurbian which is what almost everyone has recommended.Update: Tried the Zurbian yesterday. A quick look and you know its definite value for money. It’s​ loaded with chunks of mutton that is cooked to tender perfection​. The rice, however flavorful it appeared, felt very confused. There was play of flavors going on, but nothing that distinct to distinguish it and set it apart.But I kinda liked it though, it reminded me of one of our homemade biriyani attempts 🙂
Best yemeni resto in shabiya.Been eating here since 2006, the place was renovated a year ago but food and the staff still same.I still remember the long queue during lunch hours.I like most the grilled fish with unlimited rice or roti whatever you prefer for as low as 25 aed medium sized fish with salad, red chutney and fried onions.highly recommended just avoid dining at noon as it is so busy. I love the yemeni tea as a compliment as well after a heavy lunch.

Ordered mutton zurbian after hearing it many times from friends. Enjoyed it and was as expected. Quantity is good. Not family friendly, better to take parcel for family.
1) Zurbian is the highly rated dish. The cook is hyderabadi but the taste of this zurbian is best than any of the so called hyderabadi biryanis in abu dhabi.It’s just like I had a special biryani in Mumbai .2) Lahm Fahsaa minced meat is best dish to have with roti.3)Fish and other dishes are average.4)Chicken Madhbi is worth price.We order daily in our offices n he delivers in time everyday at ICAD 2 Mussafah.
