The place is nice. I guess they have to get some more experience as it is a new place. The food is taste but a little bit expensive. There was a Budweiser offer and this was told by casualty. This kind of things you have to share with the guest immediately.
We were really impressed by the lovely atmosphere in this place. From the music to the interior design, stacks of firewood or the pizzaiolo you see working by the oven, everything was very inviting. The service was excellent! The menu offered a wide range of nice choices, I especially appreciated the mozza bar where you can find everything one could possibly wish for in terms of mozzarella. I tried the broccoli orecchiette which were delicious. Two things, however, sort of ruined it for me. First, the tomatos of my tomato-mozzarella dish were horrendous: they were not ripe and tasted of nothing. When that‘s half your plate, you‘re bound to be disappointed. Second, the prices are unjustifiably high. Frankly, I just don’t see the point in paying 60 AED for a mushroom soup or 104 AED for some pasta with broccoli – no matter how good these may be.

We order burrata salad and stuffed eggplant slices a different take on Parmegania; the eggplant was literally 3 thin slices of eggplant rolled with cheese and drizzled with tomato sauce and parmesan on top. For the main course we ordered risotto fungi and vegetarian lasagna; both dishes were not good we barely touched them. The broth which was used to cook the risotto in tasted very pungent and not from the mushrooms nor the truffle oil I didn’t like it at all. The vegetarian lasagna was very gritty, I didn’t like the big clumsy sliced onions in it who does that? The slices of pasta were not even and very thick at places it was not cooked in the tomato sauce the sauce was just like an after thought to the dish merely drizzled around it as it was plated, it tasted very bland you got nothing from it. We are avid fans of Pregos; Rotana’s most famous Italian resturant in Abu Dhabi for over 10 years and love their food but against our better judgment we opted to try this place for a change but it does not come near Pregos in anything. Wont happen again.
Highly recommended, fantastic Italian food!!! Have been there 4 times so far and every time I leave satisfied. Food is delicious, seasoned and cooked to perfection. Very friendly staff as well.
