If you have 6 dirham in your pocket, and you want to eat a large dish of dhaal, with two giant freshly-baked flat breads, and drink a small bottle of water, then this restaurant is perfect for you! Actually, the bread was fantastic- baked on the premises, and served so hot that you have to dance your fingers to break out the first few morsels: and that’s one big point to Mecca Restaurant. The premises are simple, a very happy green, and they appear clean-ish enough. Your fellow hungry lunchers are laborers, carpenters, and car mechanics – nice people, all nice people. They smile at me, in my suit pants and tie, and I smile back, scarfing down my dhaal with gusto. It was good, not exceedingly delicious, but a solid good.
