Was at Ajman beach hotel over the holidays and we decided to have few drinks by the pool. They have this bar called H2O which serves snacks and food in the evening and is a breakfast ground in the mornings. The ratings of 2.5 purely for the service. There was only one big family that was smoking sheesha here, the restaurant was empty otherwise. We decided to order sheesha too, the staff however was busy attending to that one family despite our regular visible efforts to grab their attention. Finally we were given the menu and they apologized saying they are too busy, well we couldn’t see anybody. Later they told us sheesha cannot be served and we need to go to the second floor for it; on inquiring how the other family was being served we were told that they forcefully brought it down and have been complaining since that they are not being served well. Strange. The menu arrived and we ate – good ratings only for the food, it was pretty nice and well presented. I loved the lychee mojito and the cold mezzes. Well the next morning we woke up for breakfast, the attitude of the staff was still the same, there wasn’t any cutlery, no one served us tea / coffee and we had to repeatedly get up to sort out things we needed. At a point when I needed salt and pepper and no one able to assist me, I got up to ask the chef directly for it as all tables were full and I couldn’t have checked which ones had the shakers. The spread was good but again the staff at this so called 5 star restaurant really needs some training.
