Must Try: Berry Love Smoothie and Pistacho Milk Cake.Chai and Co ticks all the boxes – it is a cosy, stylish and warm cafe which offers a wide range of popular dishes that one craves for. The menu is not based on a particular cuisine, rather it is created specifically to offer the Chai and Co version of the all-time favourite dishes around Dubai.I had the delight of being invited for a menu tasting over the weekend. We started the food adventure with three kinds of salad, Chicken Ceasar Salad, Tabbouleh and Falafel Salad. The portion size for the salads was good and all three dishes were fresh in flavour. The Chicken Ceasar salad had tender cuts of grilled chicken tossed in fresh greens and smothered in mayonnaise. Although the mayonnaise can be too much for some, it can be requested to be on the side. The Tabbouleh was presented beautifully and you cannot go wrong with this dish. It had a bit of tangy and the underlying hint of lemon. The third salad will be ideal for vegetarians as the falafel salad was quite delicious. The fried taste of the falafel adds a good crunch to the overall taste. The salads were complimented with refreshing smoothies. We tried the Berry Love Smoothie and the Green Machine Smoothie. The berry love smoothie was one of the best smoothies by a long mile. It was not overly thick and it had a bit of puree which gave the fruity relish. It was so good that we repeated the order for this smoothie. The Green Machine, on the other hand, was a bit flat in flavour. It may have had too much of celery which could have overpowered the other ingredients. We also tried the Cheese and Honey Paratha and Chicken Wings for starters. The Cheese and Honey paratha was divine. The hot and melted cheese oozed with every bite and the honey made the paratha soft which make the whole dish easy to devour. The buffalo chicken wings was a fair dish. It was tangy however it could have been a bit more saucer in order to make it a finger-licking good dish. For the main course, we tried the Dynamite Jumbo Shrimp Roll, Grilled Salmon and Chicken Biryani. The shrimp roll was an absolute winner. The shrimps were fresh and generously coated in flavoured mayo sauce with a slight hint of spiciness which gave a good pop of flavour to the dish. The Grilled Salmon was served with steamed vegetables and butter sauce on the side. I liked that they kept the butter sauce on the side so that you can add the sauce as per your liking. The salmon was slightly spiced and tender that it melted in the mouth. The biryani was absolutely savoury. The chicken was well marinated and fragrant and not overly spicy. It had a good balance of spices which is ideal as it can cater to all who have different tolerance to spice. For the final course, we tried two kinds of desserts. We tried the Triple Chocolate Garden and the Pistacho Milk Cake. The Triple Chocolate Garden was almost like a classic molten chocolate cake. It was rich, sweet and gooey chocolate which was divine. The pistachio milk cake was insanely good! The sponge case was soft and not too chewy. The topping cream was light and went well with the pistachio milk.We downed the food with a Masala Karak Chai served with butter cookies. The Masala Karak Chai was a tad bit too sweet but nicely spiced. It would have been ideal if the chai was a bit stronger. The service was quick and the servers were super attentive. Although the prices are slightly higher than usual, the portion size of the dishes is quite good.Although it may be a bit difficult in locating the cafe in Al Warqa, it is definitely worthwhile once you reach the place.Overall an amazing cafe to visit.
