Today’s Iftar at Flavours – Courtyard by Marriott #albarsha – located next to Mall of the Emirates – serving Middle Eastern cuisineParking isn’t an issue, they don’t offer vallet services but they have a (free) basement parking. The buffet spread was limited but delicious nonetheless! They also had a live cooking station. The presentation of the food was great, the ambiance was soothing and cozy and the staff was welcoming! Our personal favorites – Chicken Biriyani, Calamari and Kunafa! They also have a large variety of middle eastern desserts – including a chocolate fountain with a lot of dipping items to choose from! It’s a great place to visit with your family and friends!

Our obsession with Arabic Iftar brought us to this amazing place at Courtyard by Marriott Al Barsha. The buffet is not grand like other places but instead of having lots of options they have less but all great. The seating space was very well arranged and ambience was nice with soft arabic music. There is a small traditional Majlis tent adding arabic touch to the place. For the buffet They have the usual cold and hot appetizers, Salad, arabic drinks, grilled items + special arabic dish of Lamb Ouzi. Best part all the food was hot and was refilled quickly. What we like and recommendStarters – Falafel and Chicken Shawarma, Hummus it was really goodMains – Lamb Ouzi it has a unique taste with cinnamon flavor, surprisingly the chicken biryani turned out to be great.Drinks – Jallab and Tamar HindiDesserts – Umm Ali was deliciousService was excellent and staff was friendly. They specially bought fries for my little one who enjoyed it very much.Food 4/5Service 5/5Ambience 4/5For the price of 119 AED its reasonable considering the quality of the food.Location is easily accessible and underground parking is available.

I was at Flavours at the Courtyard by Marriott for an Iftar preview a week before Ramadan begun and enjoyed a relaxed meal. The Iftar here is priced at AED. 119/- which I thought was reasonable for a selection of that sort in a hotel. The place is well spaced and well decorated with a Ramadan look at feel. To be honest I wasn’t blown by the Iftar spread however it had everything I enjoy and look forward to eating during Iftar. From the soup selection to the salads and appetizers I enjoyed everything. What I also like was that the spread is just enough for you to be able to take a bite into everything. They also had about 4 ramadan juices on the spread. In the mains I enjoyed the Lamb Ouzi and the Prawn Biryani. The dessert spread was great with a huge variety of traditional Arabic desserts, Macaroons and pastries.

Follow my food journey on Instagram- @The.Fluffy.PotatoVisited flavors for a ramadan preview a couple of weeks ago. Definitely visit them if you’re on the lookout for an iftar that isn’t too heavy on the pocket and provides you with maximum value for your money. The restaurant is located on the lobby level of the Courtyard by Marriott hotel in Al Barsha. Parking isn’t an issue as you can avail the hotel parking in the basement. The hotel is not too accessible by the metro so you might have to take a cab from the metro station. The ambience of the restaurant is very simplistic with very minimal hints of Arabic decor. They have a special majlis setup where they serve dates and coffee to break your fast. The service is very nice and quick. All the servers make sure you have a very smooth and effortless experience. Typical of what you would expect from a Marriott hotel.Their buffet has all the dishes that you would expect of a typical iftar buffet to have and a few more. Literally every single dish from the starters and mains was delicious. Their bread station deserves a special mention as it had a very beautiful setup and had breads that were carved in the shape of moons and stars. A few of the desserts were a little hit and miss. One of the other things I felt was the lack of choice for vegetarians in the buffet. But for a non-veg eater the restaurant is absolutely heavenly!!My recommendations- Ouzi, shawarma, umm ali and kunafehFood- 4/5Service- 4.5/5Ambience- 3.5/5Value for money- 4.5/5

Overall lovely hotel. I attended the iftar, I have an allergy to tomatoes and a lot of the food had tomato based ingredients. I suggested more plain versions for the future as my choice was limited. Quality of food very good though. However, they definitely need more of a selection. Loved the look of the venue and very intimate. Large groups they wouldn’t have the space so would be good for couples without families as there was limited space in the venue. We made suggestions to the chef for perhaps a pasta station and pizzas. Service was very good and staff were knowledgeable.

Starting with traditional Ramadan drinks followed by amazing variety of salads, cold mezza, hot mezza .. you can enjoy the mains that are mostly focused on arabic cuisine..So the major star of the buffet is Lamb Ouzi.. A must try in Ramadan. Also If you’re a fan of desserts you will love this buffet.. they have amazing variety of arabic & international desserts.Overall the service was great!!! The ambience is apt for the holy month of Ramadan .. it’s a great place to have a good time with your family & friends this Ramadan.
