Good food & good service. It’s a place where you can sit and have some peace of mind while enjoying breakfast. Mezzaluna is a breath of fresh air, a hidden gem tucked away from hustle and bustle of the city.Insider Tip: Got an Emirates Platinum Card? Enjoy 25% discount off of your food bill.
I really don’t know how the place has this much rating. Maybe it is good and were having a bad day today. Probably the worst one I ever experienced comparing since I travel a lot and have had many breakfast buffets. My friend and I with her toddler and my kid were at breakfast today. Every table we decided to sit had plates used but not cleaned and prepped for next customer. Finally a waiter saw us after checking 4 tables and said he will arrange one for us.. Asked us to wait at lobby.. So to begin with there should be a staff allocated at the entrance of restaurant who shows you to a table.. But forget that.. There was no staff at all available. We needed high chair which arrived with a slice of cheese on the stepper and dirty as it cud be. I can bet you it will be still there for next use of the customer if we didn’t clean it ourselves. Once at table, we went and started to look for plates near the live station. Chef gave me 2 as there were none. Ordered eggs Benedict which were average and were only served after 20 mins of us placing order. No! The chef had no other orders neither the place was busy as he was just standing waiting for customers when I finally reached there. Asked for cuppacino and coffee with milk which finally arrived after 3 follow ups and half way through our breakfast. My daughter wanted a tea spoon.. With the pace of service and no waiters in sight I dropped the idea for asking for it. More than food the service was disappointing. Food replenishment was slow. Coffee was terrible. My friend used knife to stir her beverage after adding sugar. No extra cutlery available. No clearing the table with the plates used. It was not even busy.. You would be lucky if you would see the waiters around. Terrible.. extremely disappointing.
My all time favorite breakfast place. High quality food, superfriendly staffs, nice environment and most importantly, reasonable price. You can choose buffet at price of 85, or a la carte with a nice variety of egg choices and healthy breakfasts at a price around 45 INCLUDING a fresh juice and coffee at your choice. My favorite is vegetarian poached eggs. 2 medium cooked poached eggs served on top of a bed of forest mushroom, baby potato and spinach mix with a touch of hollandise sauce. Emmm, exactly what I want for my petit dejeuner. No time for a picture, just want to enjoy it!
I’ve heard that its a great place for business lunch. If you are looking for a bustling place for dinner, this is not the place. But if you want a nice and quiet dinner, this is the place to be!I found the menu confusing. Everything looked so interesting, I didn’t know what to order (sorry, for the backhanded compliment!). I had the baby chicken with a mushroom sauce and a side of potato puree (which is a fancy way of saying mash potatoes). I can’t say that I was blown away by the meal. But I don’t expect to be blown away by it – so that’s a good thing. The prices were ok enough not be expecting something spectacular.Bottom line: would I go there again? possibly, for lunch.
I have eaten several times in Mezzaluna. The venue is very convenient and was there for a business lunch. It has great outdoors for the cooler months. The place is relatively very quiet and good for a conversation. They have meals for the day and we decided to go for it.We did not get the complimentary bread slices on this occasion. The other table did get it though! The Tomato and Mozzarella salad was very fresh and refreshing. Also the chicken pizza and the risotto. We would have loved to order the desserts but were too full!Servers are very attentive.
This is my go-to place when I need silence. The place is usually not crowded and the food is good. Pizzas are rolled and made instantly and are fresh. There is nothing particularly special about the food but it’s good enough.I find myself back here time and again when I want to get away from the crowd. Good place for introspection!
This place was something we went just for the sake of eating something, but it turned out to be a good surprise. The place was pretty much empty. When we reached, we thought of ordering a pizza, but then i found a tortellini and drooled over the description. Not to my surprise, the food was well prepared, with the flavors complementing each other really well. The broth in which the tortellini was cooked had a very creamy and garlicy flavor to it, and to top it with spinach and beans was like a cherry on cake. The margherita pizza was well done in the oven, and since we asked for it to be spicy, they made a very wise decision to top it up with green chilies thereby enhancing the flavor a lot.Overall a great place to visit. Quiet and with a good ambiance.
