Lovely place to visit for afternoon tea, their coffee is average however, I prefer ordering tea and they have a wide selection of canapés and desserts. I usually like to visit just before sunset, the weather alright now and I enjoy looking at the yachts.

This place is one of all which offers a High Tea for your personal gathering. Who doesnt like a high tea in an amazing ambience, delicious food, prompt service with an impeccable presentation. I had arranged for all my friends on the occassion of my baby shower. The manager gave us clear and concise description of what they have to offer us, and 1 meeting was all it needed. She provided us with few set menus (sandwiches, tarts, desserts, coffee, teas and mocktails). On the day, everything was accurately done accept few things here and there but later the team arranged it well. The ambience was dimmed, soothing and quite fresh though later it got quite warm due to air condition malfunction. Post sunset it got much darker (guess personal opinion additional lighting was needed). The food was presented professionally and was delight to an eye. Service was delivered quickly and were attentive. Bite size sandwiches, petit fors were quite tasty and was appreciated by all. The textures were upto mark. If you are looking for a place to spend quality time with your friends, with relaxed ambience, high tea and good service this lounge will certainly serve the justice.

Loved the coziness of the place and its ambience. Quiet, dimmed lights at night, and smells so fresh! About the food, I tried the hot and cold oriental mezze which I absolutely admired (except the tabbouleh was overly salty). Other than that, it was so goood! If I knew I’d attack the mezze, I would’ve gone for something different in terms of main course. The turkey sandwich I ordered was good, but too heavy after already consuming tons of carbs. Overall, it was a pleasant experience & I would definitely visit again!

Park Hyatt is a beautiful hotel! But the afternoon tea was very disappointing. The selection of sandwiches and scones is very small. You can only order 2 drinks and they are not refillable like at most of the other places. The rose petals tea was very nice, but caffe latte wasn’t good at all, not a good quality coffee. Good service, beautiful location. But I wouldn’t suggest going for an afternoon tea , may be their lunch, dinner and brunches are better.

I am all for a hearty meal; and hearty is what you’ll get at this cozy little nook of this exclusive hotel. I’ve tried the Penne Arrabbiata on a separate occasion but always come back for the Nasi Goreng. Their take on this Indonesian dish is great. Flavors upon flavors, from the prawn crackers to the chicken on the side and the fried rice with a sunny-side-up egg (which you can ask them to remove). The coffee we had afterwards was also deliciously brewed. However, the wine list needs to be refreshed. Very few options and not as extensive as is expected in a 5-star hotel. Service was alright, nothing to write home about. The setting isn’t crowded and bustling which is what I like.

I took my sister for High Tea while in Dubai for her birthday. I chose this place mostly because of our terrible exchange rate at the time (coming from South Africa) and their favourable rate, because the place I really wanted to go cost R900 for high tea, per person. What a pleasant surprise when we got there. Loved the architecture and serenity of the place. Felt like one of those hidden treasure places. Service was excellent throughout. We also enjoyed the free WiFi. We got there slightly before 2pm but they let us in and brought some drinks. We just had to wait while they prepared our plated High Tea. I ate almost everything on the plates, with the fresh scones being my favourite! The sandwiches were good too. Being my sister’s very first High Tea, I’d say it was a memorable afternoon. nafisa.co.za
