There is a saying that goes like expensive even for free. The Mezzanine is one such restaurant. Wanted to relax with something to munch on as we had time to kill. Bad decision as the food was below average. Yes, it’s close to the gates and therein lies the only consolation.They should look into improving their food quality and train their staff to be courteous. Traveling is stressful and tiring. And people are looking to relax, not get more stressed with bad food and poor customer serviceMillions of people transit/travel through Dubai Airports and the quality must must be improved..! I’ve been to the lunch buffet and the only thing favorable about the place is the cost being really good for a buffet.Food tastes just ok, and main/salad/appetizer choices were limited but still ok for the price. Just didn’t like the fact that dessert choices were limited to only a baked custard and a simple fruit salad.
Had a quick sushi before boarding the flight. The food is terrible. Sushi rice is as high as rock, meaning it may have stayed for quite some times.
They served buffet, thus, you pay immediately before you enter. Hence, you have no choice even if you do not like the food selection. Their diners were mostly airport employees, I noticed. Price wise -their food was not cheap nor expensive. Foods selection was not that much either but not bad at all. Service was awful-you are on your own! Of course, for a first-timer like me, got lost a bit especially when your time has limit, but who cares I can read and follow instructions. The only consolation you can get in dining with them is you are close to the gate -that’s all!Lastly, I was approached by their staff not to take pictures, with threat and in a rude manner. Glad I did not listen!
