Follow me on Instagram whattoeatmariaI’ve tried a lot of Vegetarian Restaurant and Akss is one of the best I’ve tried, from starters to desserts. The food is tasty and full of flavour. Their drinks are fantastic as well. I enjyed my experience at akss.

This restaurant deserve more of a 4/5 for its food, but the service was so terribly slow which is where they lose most of their points for me.Favs: Pav bhaji bombs (these are the best), Paneer Methi masala, Paalak Chaat, Shahi Tukda, Pind Cholle, the yummiest mango mocktail. In short, great food but very very slow service! Asked the waiter several times for my food and they still missed out on serving one item.

We were excited to try gastronomy food here and it was quite a good experience. We were served fryums with 8 types of dips and each dip was quite different and yummy. We tried Ghamandi lassi ,which was so amazing that can’t describe in words. In chaat we had panipuri, palak patta chaat and paav bhaji bomb. Each one was just amazing. In mains we were served paneer methi, daal and bread basket which was ok.In dessert we had gajar halwa gudbud which was heavenly.Service was quite slow . They have two restaurants under one roof so it was over crowded and noisy.Overall we had good dinner and will definitely recommend this restaurant.

I recently had visited Akss along with a friend of mine. We were welcomed by their friendly staff. They’ve 2 restaurants under one roof, one being Indian and one Italian food.Let’s get talking about the food, shall we?We started off with some fryums and condiments before we ordered our drinks, I ordered a Pani Puri Caprioska which tasted amazing! Just like Pani Puri’s teekha (spicy) water, if you’re fan of pani puri then you surely should order this drink, you’ll enjoyyy it just like I did! A Must Have!Chaats – Kachori Chaat – When you think of kachori chaat the one thing that will come in your head is the big puri like stuffed with onions or lentils. Rather this was 5 small kachori (crispy) and filled with lentils filling topped with sweet yogurt, spicy chutney and caviar made or sweet and spicy chutney, ended with sev, which tasted mouth watering, you surely should enjoy this dish. I loved it! A must try!Starter – Pav Bhaji Bomb – Liked the idea of having the bhaji in the pav itself, but the bhaji lacked the flavour, adding some spices and salt would make the dish taste even better.Naanza – Naanza has to be the new kid in the block, it’s a mix of pizza and naan, that’s why it’s called naanza! The flavour was pretty good, expected a little more cheese as said in the menu but I still enjoyed it. A must try!Mains – we ordered a total different sabzi from the usual paneer and mixed sabzi and I really wanted to try the biryani.Sabzi – Mushroom Raarha – I’m a big fan of mushrooms and soya and when it’s made into a sabzi it just did wonders, the flavours of the sabzi was just so good and balanced, usually the over added taste of garam masala is always tasted, but not with this sabzi. Very flavourful and a surely Must Have!Vegetable Dum Biryani – A very unique way of serving the Biryaani, the biryani had really good taste, it was a great mix of spices and vegetable, not too spicy and i totally enjoyed it. A must try!Ended our dinner with their dessert.Akss Chocolate Garden – A mix of 3-4 different kind of chocolate desserts on one plate, yaas and each one of them was heavenly! Chocolate brownie, molten cake, chocolate mousse served with vanilla ice cream, pure heaven so freaking good! A must must have.Overall – Great food, lovely ambience, service was a little slow but the staff is very friendly, and helpful when I was confused with what to order. Totally forgot our servers name but he was really good a 5/5 for him! I’m absolutely coming back with my family and friends, their food is genuinely really good. Also there is plenty of parking in front of the restaurant and around it too.

I was super excited to try out molecular gastronomy experience here at Akss for which they are known for! Liked the ambience, a cozy nice place, perfect for family dining. Fryums with 8 different types of dips were served at first. Some of the dips were quite different, in a good way!Started off with some chaats, kachori chaat and pani poori bar. Kachori chaat was one of the best I have had in my life, it was basically crispy stuffed kachoris topped with dahi and chutney caviar. Pani poori bar is named so for the visual presentation, it had all the individual elements kept on a tray. Loved the burst of flavors when you put a ‘diy’ puri inside your mouth! Had high expectations for the rest of the courses, as the bar set was pretty high by now. For drinks, we had their ghamandi lassi and kokum & peach sour. Loved the ghamandi lassi, no words to describe how delicious it was! But, the latter failed to impress. For starters, we were served teen tikka paneer and naanza. Teen tikka paneer looked good, tasted good. But we couldn’t get any distinct flavors of yellow chili, coriander pesto or masala sundried tomato. All the three varieties tasted pretty much the same, though I must admit that the paneer tasted good in itself.Naanza is basically a naan with Kohlapuri paneer and a trio of cheeses. Unfortunately, was not a fan of this dish. For mains, we were served paneer khurchan lasagne with bread basket. This was a mind blowing dish, lasagne with an Indian twist. An innovative creation I must say! Super rich and had the right balance of flavors. We even tried their dum subz biriyani, this was decent. For dessert, we had their shahi tukda, didn’t quite like this dish. Way too sweet for my liking, not worth the wait.Their service was slow. Also, I felt some of the staff needs to be trained better in terms of communication. Overall, our dining experience started on a really high note, but ended in an okay manner. Some of the dishes served were outstanding though! Thanks for the invite.

Akss is a modern vegetarian cuisine offered with a gastronomical touch. When invited for a food tatsing ,I preferred going on a weekday assuming that it wouldn’t be crowded , but the place was quite full. The interiors are colorful yet sober with Indian touch. Was quite excited to try their innovative gastronomical dishes and here’s the experience. We were served Aam Panna on the rocks & Smoked Tandoori Bloody Mary. Aam Panna was very refreshing and flavorful. Bloody mary too was good and served with tandoori paneer & veggies. The presentation was impressive but out of the two I loved the Aam Panna .Then comes the Misal Pav Fondue, Palak Patta Chaat , Dahi Wada & Pav Bhaji bomb. All these starters were prepared as per the Indian taste but presented with a modern twist. Though all were good but Palak Patta Chaat & Misal Pav Fondue turned out to be my personal favourite. Palak Patta Chaat is being prepared live in liquid nitrogen and served with chutney caviars . A must try !There was no room in my tummy for any more dishes but our host Mr.Kiran insisted that we try the main dishes & some dessert. Upon his recommendation we ordered the Akss Kofta Curry & Mushroom Raarha with Plain Roti. The Kofta curry was rich & creamy and perfect partner to the rotis. The Mushrooms Raarha was a dry dish and had mild spices , if you are a mushroom lover you would definitely love this one.It was time for some desserts. They have a good menu for desserts too & opted to try the Gulab Jamun Tart . The jamuns were served in a caramel caged tart with elaichi custard & gulkand sauce. Full marks to the presentation & preparation. The Jamuns could have been a little better though.Overall had a pleasant experience and highly recommend to all my friends.
