I had recently visited this restaurant with my parents. Its a nice and cozy spot in Karama really enjoyed the food they served. They specialize in Authentic Mumbai street food. Out of all the places I have tried Which serve Authentic street food I have to say that these guys were one of the best. Eating food at the restaurant gave me a very home-like feeling. They use all fresh ingredients. We started our dinner by ordering some startersFor Non-Veg startersWe ordered the Chicken Shami Kabab, Mutton Shami Kabab, and some Mutton and Chicken Rolls. The Shami Kababs were perfect no flavor was overpowering and its the best I have had in UAE hands downThe Mutton and Chicken rolls were not at all oily which made it a delight to have it.We also ordered the Chicken malai tikka which was cooked well. For Veg startersWe tried the Veg rolls and Veg Russian Kababs. The Russian Kababs was yummy and had a creamy texture to it. They made a Chicken Russian kababs into a Veg dish and I’m not complaining it is definitely a must-try dish. For Veg and Non-Veg main course we hadFor veg, we ordered the palak paneer. I haven’t eaten palak panner for a long time since I dislike the dish but the palak panner these guys made was phenomenal. The taste of the palak was not at all prominent which made it perfect for me.For Non-veg, we ordered butter chicken. The butter chicken was creamy and had a thick consistency to it.For Dessert had Gajar ka halwa the halwa itself wasn’t very sweet and in my opinion a good thing.Overall if you guys really enjoy Mumbai street food then this is your go-to place.
Invited to a new family run place. The restaurant is small but filled with love and the recipes are all in house developed by the husband and the wife.We ordered variety of items on the list and each and every one of em was aaammmmaaaging. Loved the authenticity and the original Street food flavors.I would definitely recommend the restaurant as it’s one of the best Desi restaurant in town.
I have tried brain/bheja fry almost 20 restaurant in dubai one of the best i had it here and they use fresh mutton and chicken as well..tried shami kabab also which can be improve ,will.surely go again as i have to try gurda masala as well, staff if very polite and good service
If you want to try authentic Mumbai street food style in Dubai. this is the place to be. Loved every bit off. It’s a small restaurant serves some delicious food. Tried the baida roti, Russian kababs, pullao and mutton Tawa it was fantastic. The owners are extremely sweet and welcoming. Feel at home. Try them out!
I have always felt that there is a lack of restaurant’s in Dubai that serves the amazing non-veg street food available in Bombay’s Muhammed Ali Road and it’s surrounding areas. So when I was recently invited to the newly opened Bombay Tawa and Kebab, I was happy to note that this gap will be taken care off quite well. The space is small but the owners (a lovely couple from Bombay whose family receipes are cooked by them) and staff more than make up for it with their hospitality and friendliness. We tried the following dishes from their extensive menu of delicious items -Mutton and chicken egg rolls – Fried crispy on the outside with a spicy mixture of mutton/chicken and egg. Different from the Kathi rolls and very tasty it’s in own right.Mutton Shammi kebabs – Extreamly soft and really good taste. I would go back just to have this by itself.Chicken Russian kebab – Similar to a Shammi kebab but this has minced chicken with grated boiled eggs in the mixture. Very tasty as well.Mutton and chicken Baida roti – A staple street food of Bombay with a crispy egg fried paratha that has mutton and chicken stuffed on the inside. Another must try dish.Mutton main dish – This was prepared as a special dish by the owner and Chef Mr Saleem Dhanani and it was chunks of boneless mutton in a thick well spiced gravy with onions. I don’t know the name of it but it was genuinely very tasty with laccha parathas.Mutton Akhni pulao – This was the restaurant’s signature dish prepared in the families generational receipe and it was very tasty. It had subtle flavours of a broth that the rice was cooked in with pieces of potato and mutton. I am a big fan of biryani so I don’t typically like pulao but this had a really nice flavour to it.Gajar ka halwa – Very nicely looked and tasted just like it’s made at home. Definitely a must try when it’s in season.Overall I had a great meal and I would recommend going to this restaurant to taste some unique non-veg dishes from Bombay. The staff is friendly and service is efficient. The friendliness and passion for cooking good food comes across when you meet the owners and that is not something you find in all restaurants.
One of the amazing places in Dubai to enjoy Mumbai style street food. It’s a small lovely place in Karama, in the heart of Dubai. We ordered for following-1. Mutton egg roll- 5/5. Amazing stuff. Very different from Kolkata or north Indian style rolls2. Chicken egg roll- stuffed with generous amount of chicken. Crisp from outside. Soft from inside. 5/5.3. Shammi kebab- very soft and well cooked. 4/5.4. Chicken russian cutlet- very different and innovative style of cutlet. 4/5.5. Malai tikka- very soft and creamy tikka. 4/5.6. Baida roti- we loved this one..5/5.7. Dal mutton- we are not huge fan of this dish. But, it was overall a good dish. We had this with rice. 4/5.8. Chicken biryani- amazing biryani.. full of flavours. 4/5.9. Gajar ka halwa- very nicely cooked. 4/5.Overall a great meal. Kudos to entire team!
I had ordered for a Tandoori Chicken, Mutton Biryani, and a Mutton Seekh Kabab, from here on Thursday for dinner. The only saving grace was the Biryani although it was too oily, the Tandoori Chicken wasn’t that tasty and the Seekh Kababs were a bit hard.Am sure you guys can do better.
