Not very exiting experience.Cold food , comparatively less quantity, very difficult find Meat in mutton biriyaani . They are serving only one small chicken piece in a full portion chicken biriyaani .Tiny wash area , nothing remarkable about service. We called a waiter for a running order , but no one care you . Never again , not recommended
I heard a lot of this speciality biriyani restaurant from Tamil nadu origin, from my south Indian friends. The soace is large and decently maintained. Clean, hygienic and distance between tables were good. A deep brown theme is seen in decor.Large groups have good seating arrangements.I was attended shortly. The menu was available at the table.●Good variety of items are described with a nice section about the origin, but unfortunately many of the items are not ready to be served. In my short requirement, gobi 65 and vanilla milkshake were not available, which are not really uncommon things, and also when they are featured with images in the menu.•Also I asked for a Aatkul mutton soup at 16 dhs and I was served a different soup, which came at 13 dhs.●1. Coming to the taste, the Mutton boneless biriyani was quite good and bereft of any unnecessary spice overloads and coloured rice. That’s great. They use a speciality rice which is small and tasty. I would have preferred a mutton bone-in biriyani, but they don’t have that. There are many pieces of bonesless cubes of meat alongwith a boiled egg. Quantity is just right for a single person. It also came with a small bowl of onion raita and a dal. These are not significant.2. Melagu Mutton soup. I wanted the aatkul soup though. Medium quantity. Taste is slightly spicy hot, but otherwise nothing special. Till it’s hot, it’s quite okay. Nalli/long bones are slow cooked. 12 -13 dhs.3. Lime soda. Small size. 9 dhs. Authentic. Liked it.Overall it’s a place for diners who have special memories of the chain from it’s point of origin and has happy memories. For new visitors it’s touch and go.• They also have some combo veg and non veg thali offers at reasonable price. These may appeal to the office goers. Actually the price point is pretty reasonable.•The food comes in a banana leaf cutout which is over a steel plate. Also the glasses are of traditional metals. Good feels.
Luv the food, good service
We were yearning to go to this place and today we finally did it during lunch. We ordered paya and mushroom soup. For starters it was pepper chicken and mutton biryani and veg combo for the main course. Except the biryani and veg combo the soup and pepper chicken was extremely spicy. Either this restaurant have their own pepper fields or they have stock in abundance and their chef does not know where to use it. Extremely spicy my kids were unable to bear. I had to order 2 bottles of water by the way. The person who took the order could have warned about the level of spicyness. Secondly the service was the worst. While leaving I heard the table near me complaining about the dish mismatch. But the staff did not bother to replace it. So as the name suggests please go to this place for Tamil Nadu biryani only. Rest of the dishes are not worth I think.
