Great place for Soya lovers and what they have done with a simple dish is interesting. The range of soya they have will cater to all palates. We tried 2 soya dishes, Papdi chaat and Chhole bathure.Decent food overall, prompt service and optimal portions. It will be great if an alternate tandoori range of paneer too can be introduced in due course.
As you step into this restaurant, you are quite sure to fall in love with the ambience. On the Walls you see the photo frames of Bollywood pictures hanging. Also there is a separate section for Majlis seating. Quite neat & clean ambience. The 90’s Bollywood tracks in the background takes you through the culinary journey of Indian streets while munching on the delicious Chaaps. First things first, we ordered some drinks. I don’t fail to order Thandai if it’s in the menu . And salted Lassi is another drink we ordered. Thandai was excellent. The latter doesn’t please my taste buds. Most of their dishes are made using SOYA. Called CHAAP in hindi. It’s widely used as a meat substitute. Though I’m not a big fan of Soya , I did like quite a few dishes. Starters we ordered was named as SAMYUKHT RAJYA. It’s a platter of mixed grill Chaap. Also we ordered Lollipop Chaap. I liked this , presentation was excellent. Mains ordered are as follows——Biryani Chaap Tandoori roti (gravy)Kashmiri Chaap (gravy)Hyderbadi Chaap Maggi ChaapEverything was on point except Kashmiri Chaap ,which is bit on the sweeter side. The biryani was amazingly delicious. We then ordered the extra large size samosa named after the character of a Tamil movie, Bahubali. It’s Bahubali samosa. Served with green chutney & ketchup at a price of 5aed. And it’s worth every penny. The best part is the Chai. Their signature GUD wali chai with a hint of ginger . Oh so comforting after a hearty meal. To end the meal with a sweet note we had Moong dal halwa which tasted average. Not to mention the friendly & welcoming staffs , who were very attentive and quick in service. Overall had a great time!
