slow service , average food
This small yet brightly lit up restaurant is located in the heart of Karama. We stopped by post-work to try the bites and beverages as the menu had a good variety of evening snacks. We decided to indulge in the Cheese Pav Bhaji, Masala Pav Pair, Mango Lassi and Solkadi. The Cheese Pav Bhaji was a delight. The shredded cheese was just melting on the steaming bhaji and the pavs were coated with butter, making the dish sinfully good. The presentation of the Masala Pav Pair was inviting because they were generous with the amount of masala pav. However, it was not as spicy or flavorful as one would expect from a street style dish. One cannot go wrong with Mango Lassi. It was not too rich but it was well blended and sweet. The Solkadi which is a chilled coconut drink made from kokum was quite refreshing. The service is fairly quick and the price range is slightly higher in comparison to the other Maharashtrian small scale restaurants. Overall a fair place to visit.
I went here randomly for breakfasts. They have very specialised Maharashtrian type food and very popular. On weekends they are totally full.Food quality is very very good, if you are familiar with marathi cuisine.Service is good.I have triedToast with butter and jam. At 10 dhs, they are costly. But the taste is the best among all that I have tasted in Dubai.Sabudana khichdi at 15 dhs is again slightly costly in my opinion but done exceptionally well. Not too oily. Crushed roasted peanuts are perect with boiled potato pieces.Interiors are done very well with Bombay related terms and familar jargons.Very well done.
Best place for Veg Mahastrian Breakfast. Love their Misal Pav, Thalipeeth, Kotbir Vadi. Their thecha is amazing. Nice ambience. Also a fab place to go & have pakoras when it rains. Food is always fresh
