Buffet lunch organised for our group. The spread was decent with limited non-veg options. Indian food with soup, main course and desert. The chicken kadhai was decent but could have been better. The ambience was just about okay.
Food was decent but the service is absolutely appalling! First of all the starters took almost 30-45 mins to arrive and secondly we had ordered the Chicken Parmigiana for our main course but when it arrived, we were served the Chicken fajita pizza instead! Furthermore we had also ordered a Insalata Foliva whose description read clearly that there would be formaggio (cheese) in it but when it was served, there were no traces of cheese whatsoever. So anybody planning on visiting this restaurant should please reconsider. Unless you are a guest in the hotel and you have no choice, please do not waste your valuable time and resources on this dump
Here’s a tip, have a date and don’t want to be found out? Here’s one. Hidden inside Four Points Sheraton, that itself is hidden off the main Mankhool road, behind the erstwhile Standard Chartered building. You are lost? Good, because the food is not going to bring you back. The servers are very friendly though and can cheer up any ‘lost’ diner. But hey you are here for the hideaway, not to gorge on the menu right?
Went for dinner to this Italian restaurant located at the lobby level of Four Points by Sheraton Downtown Dubai. The valet did not even know that this restaurant exists in this hotel :(The restaurant is clean. There is nothing much to write about the interiors. We were served by a trainee. A little goof up while taking the order can be considered, however disturbing the guests again and again to confirm the order is not acceptable. Also we had asked for a bottle of water which this trainee forgot. We ordered fried calamari, chicken satay, chicken Fajita pizza, chicken Parmigiana and freshly squeezed juices. The calamari was thick and rubbery making it difficult to chew. The dip for this was nice. Chicken satay was a disappointment. Chicken was very dry, tasteless and the peanut sauce was very watery.Best among all this was the Pasta. We had requested if he chef could make this pasta in Penne and in white sauce and it was served as per the request. The pasta had a really nice garlic flavor. The chicken piece served on the top was again not good, however pasta was soo tasty that I dint care about the chicken. The pasta was really worth the time we spent in that restaurant. Rest everything was a major letdown. Not sure if I want to go back to this restaurant, but if I am around that area and i crave for white sauce pasta, I may end up visiting this restaurant.
