Not quite sure how this place has not caught on a hype- came here for the launch event on a whim a few weeks back and haven’t been able to stop thinking about it! The serving staff were attentive and you get a basket of bar nibbles while you peruse the menu. Between the two of us we had the tasting platter of calamari, samosa and other Vegetarian options. I’m not sure how others could complain about the small serving sizes- we struggled to finish the platter! I get the feeling that many patrons come here expecting it to be gigantic, but this is truly pub food done right. It sums up that hedonistic, dude-food Indian diner experience where you want everything on the menu, try to order beyond your limits, reveling in your ingenious decision to eat there. Eating here brings me back to eating in resto-pubs in Mumbai, mixed with the typical sports venue vibe. Yes, you can’t eat here all the time because you’ll probably die simultaneously from clogged arteries and sheer ecstasy. But that doesn’t stop you from living in the moment with the opportunity to drink here every weekend.
It’s LOUD!!! It’s ALIVE!!!Rock / Metal crowd with people headbanging on the dance floor. Billiards on the other side from the dance floor. It’s good at AED 5 per game. Hopefully they would have a foosball table somewhere too.We had the supposedly 7.5 Liter Heineken. We (5 of us) all did not think it was 7.5 liters. It was for AED 230 (too costly). We should have got the Pint and Shot option. It’s a choice of beer plus a shot of JD. It costs AED 39. Would have been better. We’ll see if we ever go back to try some of their grub.
This place has become a great local hang out to get away from the hassle of Dubai. The staff are so friendly and are always welcoming. The bar is never over crowded and is always a place to sit. enjoy the pool table. Some times they have heavy metal night which is cool. not many places offer. keep up the good work guys.
Dugout is a lovely place which is made inside the grand excelsior hotel. The mug size of hoegaarden beer is amazing I truly enjoyed this place. Great ambience Great place
