Our company organized a lunch at Sense. Nice place and the food was good. Personally, I liked the vegetarian range of foods. To our surprise was a complimentary cake for the entire team.
Walked upto Senses last night, thot we’d pick up a few drinks from there, using Zomato Gold. But such a disaster, the staff didn’t know about it, they refused to give us the drinks that was on the menu. Lost half an hour for them to decide wether we get the drinks or not. After a time it got embarrassing for us, as we were jus not served. Had to walk away.
Senses is where Mercure Gold hotel holds its buffet lunch and dinner. I have had a number of dinners there on special occasions – functions, ceremonies, parties, and the like. Their starters are fantastic – especially the Masala Fried Fish, Prawns, Chicken Reshmi Kabab, and the vegetarian stuff – mini samosas, Hara Bhara Kabab, etc. Among the main course, their yellow dal and chana masala will force you to indulge and the Mutton Roghanjosh is always brilliant – soft morsels coated in a mild gravy that’s just the right blend of spices. But today I had lunch there for the first time – the chicken curry was simply awesome, pretty much like home cooked one, very similar to the Bengali variant from our kitchen. Do give it a shot – it’s never too heavy on either the wallet or the stomach.
A 2nd big family gathering & this time the entire Senses was booked. A frequent visitor and so far nothing that could be cribbed of. Good variety of starters and plenty to choose fm for main course. Excellent service tasty food and value for money.
