Cancios is located in Al Muraqqabat. It is known for its Filipino and Mexican cuisine. The ambiance is fine with a decorative wall on one side and there is also an instagrammable frame with hung props if you are in a picture mood. They also have a gumball machine inside the restaurant and a huge TV where the guest reactions on trying out their food is shown.I had gone with my friends for dinner on a working day and still there was a lot of rush which shows how fast-moving the place is. The only thing I did not really like is their service. As they largely cater to Filipino crowd, the waiters were finding it hard to understand what we wanted to order. Plus they got our order really late.We ordered the following drinks:Twinberry smoothie with mango gelatino, watermelon fruit tea with lychee boba and blueberry fruit tea with lychee boba. My favourite was the twinberry smoothie. For starters we tried:Fajita Caesar Salad- It had Caesar dipped lettuce pieces topped with cooked chicken strips. It was just ordinary and nothing great.Nachos- These were really good and had cheese, jalapenos, guacamole and olives.Dynamite Shrimps- These were the showstoppers, just the perfect amount of crunch and a good dynamite sauce!Quasedilla Sliders- These were really delicious and served with salsa sauce. For the main course we had: Chicken Tacos- These were the best amongst all the dishes of the main course.Chicken Fajita- Chicken strips served with sizzling and colourful vegetablesChicken Burrito- The burrito wrap was really delicious too. Again served with salsa and guacamole. For desserts we tried:Creme brulee- Basically custard topped with caramelized sugarIf you visit don’t forget to try their quasedilla sliders and dynamite shrimps as well as their boba tea!
My first ever visit to a Filipino cum Mexican cuisine restaurant. Located in al rigga, alot of RTA parking near by. Visited on a weekday and it was quite crowded. The ambiance was great however they need to workout a bit on lighting as it was really dull. Coming over to the service, it was ok. They need to work out on serving time. Overall the Mexican food variety dishes tasted the same. We ordered Fajita Ceasar salad, dynamite shrimps, nachos, quesadilla and burrito.Overall ratingsStaff and service 2.5Food 3Ambiance 3Value for money 3
Visited this place during a weekday to try their Mexican menu. I have to mention that considering a weekday this place was 80% crowded which means that it has loyal customers who prefers to dine in at cancios. The ambience is really nice and we were sweetly greeted by theil owner. She explained us about the restaurant and the history of including Mexican menu in their outlet. For appetizers we had dynamite shrimp, nachos, Fajita salad. Evrything served was fresh and yum.We had chicken Fajita, tacos, quesidillas as our mains. The quantity they served was really good as we coudnt finish everything. Out of the mains I really loved their tacos.
Located in Deira, Cancios is an eatery which specializes in Filipino and Mexican cuisine. The ambiance of this restaurant is pretty, with decorative items placed on the shelves on the walls, music in the background, a TV which shows different people enjoying and describing their experience at Cancios, and a picture perfect corner. The restaurant was quite busy, and the servers there were polite, and always running on their feet to serve their audience. I was invited here for a tasting session by Shruti, Mystic Advertising.Coming to the food and drinks, we ordered the following:House blended ice tea: the server suggested this to us as it is their specialty. The good thing is that it’s unlimited. Freshly prepared, served chilled in a glass with a slice of lemon, this drink was refreshing.Cheesy fries: made differently from the usual cheesy fries, these were soft & crispy thick – cut, non – oily French fries served with a side of cheese dip.Chicken fajita: the showstopper on our table, strips of succulent chicken were served with some green leaves, bell peppers and jalapenos. With a side of thin, soft tortillas, guacamole, salsa sauce and salad. We loved the flavours of the chicken fajita, it was absolutely toothsome. Mix all the said items together, and you get a blend of zesty & spicy, all in one bite. Definitely a must try!Chicken Quesadilla: thin, soft tortillas, served with a generous filling of well – cooked, marinated chicken, sauce, olives, and other necessary ingredients. It was delicious, spicy and flavourful. Served with some guacamole and salsa, this dish was yummy.Carbonara pasta: thin, sufficiently soft strips of spaghetti, tossed in Alfredo sauce, with Parmesan cheese, chicken and mushrooms. We found the chicken to be dry and chewy, and the flavours of this dish were palatable to the palate.Thank you Cancios and team for hosting us!
