I had the sushi and maki platter. It had a variety of fish that I’ve never eaten before, quite interesting. My friends all had the all you can eat barbecue which they enjoyed a lot. The service is excellent. There wasn’t much atmosphere and no music.
Fantastic Friday lunch buffet -with still a la carte ordering available. A big restaurant with a humble entrance: don’t be shy, go upstairs with the lift and Sobahn is enormous and great for big groups as well as intimate corners. Professionally run, the service was excellent and above the price range (which is affordable and very competitive). I ordered the Bibimbap set as I had already eaten a solid breakfast, and the set included a stone baked rice bowl, the spicy red sauce – of course! – a choice of soup, and a half dozen authentic Korean side nibbles, including a delicious in-house made kimchi – which I ordered extra as takeaway! Also dessert came but I think that may have been kindness taken off the buffet. Many Korean guests, including families, were a sign that Sobahn is appreciated by the Korean community in Dubai. Excellent service and food. The ambience is nice and the cleanliness is very good. We ordered the ‘All you can eat’ Yakiniku and the meat was quite fresh and tender. The marinate was lovely and the Korean set pickles and condiments were fresh and tasty. Good value for money especially for groups. Highly recommended.
