I would like to award the worst brunch and sushi award to this restaurant. When a brunch costs this much with out house beverages, I imagine the food is worth it. The rice fell apart on every dish and was very warm. Some of the fish even tasted old, sushi isn’t suppose to have that pungent fishy taste and smell. We were also the only customers and it was obvious they were slowing the pace down to save money. After trying all their sampler plates, we got to get what we wanted. None of the dishes we tried were good, we already knew what we liked, salmon nigiri and sashimi. After a couple of orders we realized it was just not appetizing. For the first time ever we left a brunch early, 1 hour spent with 2 remaining. Never have I had such bad sushi at such a nicely presented restaurant. Save your money
Great authentic sushi prepared by master chef ibrahim quality and taste super,, but the only down was waitress not attentive, superslow and never been around the chef had to serve us the food himself
Chief Ibrahim is the best! Such a sweet and kind person, and the sushi is amazing and delicious. The only critic I have is that the service is really bad, the waitress are never available, the chief had to keep calling the them to come and serve us! Which was really upsetting.
Great sushi, the offer with Groupon is simply amazing 100 AED for all you can eat sashimi, maki and sushi rolls. Starters crab miso soup and variety of sashimi including eel, salmon, tuna, kingfish and white fish.
A very disappointing experience for a restaurant in a five star hotel. The food is average and the service crawled. Went there with a cobone, for a buffet ended up being a banquet where courses were served with 20 mins between every course. The miso soup was served warm; had to wait for 30 mins for a hot bowl of it as the chef was preparing the courses for all the tables simultaneously. There were no dimsums served because the chef was not around. We had to leave after an hour and half as we just got tired waiting for the food. They need to get it going in all departments if they want to be a successful restaurant. Definitely not recommended; discount or not.
I really enjoy going for sushi at this restaurant. We have visited four or five times now, each time using the Groupon deal which is excellent value, you receive as much freshly prepared sushi and sashimi as you want. The restaurant is quite small and therefore has a nice intimate atmosphere and the staff are just right. Julius has been our waiter each time we have visited and we are very happy to see that it is him each time. He is attentive with a fun personality and also knows when to leave us a while to enjoy the evening. They had a new sushi chef the last time we visited and he has introduced some lovely presentation of the plates and is also a very nice person to talk to. Overall the food is very nice but the staff make it exceptional.
Place was nice and Julius was a great host. Came here using a groupon voucher. You are first served with a choice of soup. Then you get courses of the chef’s choices, we got some selection of sashimi, selection of sushi and then had a few courses of makis (I’m not a fan of makis). After the chef was done with all the courses, you are offered to reorder whatever was served. Obviously the makis filled us up with the amount of rice, so we politely declined.
