Thinking about Indian fine dine? Signature by Sanjeev Kapoor is the answer. From fantastic dim lit interiors to stunning desserts, they were perfect. Once seated, the tasting menu was a journey through Signature Sanjeev Kapoor dishes and stories about how the dishes were created was explained in good detail. Very tough to pick favorites but the Dum Nariyali Prawns, Rogan E Nalli(pictured here), Dilli Murg Makhni in Mains and of course the Rasmalai Snow in desserts was fantastic. Even the pani puri was very different from the usual and I thoroughly enjoyed it. There were 2 different type of palate cleansers which were given in between courses so our taste buds were ready and tingling. Another must try item here is the mixed platter which includes different meats of which the lamb chops were excellent. It was a wonderful experience here overall and is an excellent place to celebrate important occasions or you want to have a dine in experience with a difference.

Butter chicken with Mango (such a nice and new concept which tasted absolutelt awesome)7. Last but not the least- charcoal rasmalai just won my heart Ambience- 9/10Food – 10/10 Presentation of the food- 10/10 Staff service – 10/10
Dimly lit, with a soothing ambience, Signature by Sanjeev Kapoor is a remarkable eatery. Tasty food, brilliant service, I got the chance to dine in with them, after I received an invite for a tasting session by Karma DXB. Anil, and the entire team of Signature by Sanjeev Kapoor were courteous, friendly and always on their feet to serve us.For drinks, we were served a mojito, which was made of mango, passionfruit and mint. This drink was served chilled, quite refreshing and mellow.Crunchy papad and fried snacks served with fruit chutney, tomato & onion chutney, green chutney, onions with vinegar and pickle. The fruit chutney was fairly sweet and very delicious. The presentation of pani puri was excellent, and taste wise it was mind blowing. Crispy spheres of puri, with a filling, were yummy, and the green pani was impeccable. It offered a blend of tangy and mildly spicy flavours to the taste buds. Definitely a must try!Coming to the starters, we were served the hummus ki gilawat, chenne kai parchey, methi chicken and lamb chops. The hummus ki gilawat was a tender tikki made of chick peas. Crispy on the outside, this was tasty and flavourful. Chenne kai parchey were huge chunks of paneer which were made like a paneer sandwich. The paneer was soft, delectable, and the flavours were commendable. The methi chicken was fabulous! It was succulent, and the flavours of methi were just right and it was flavoursome. The lamb chop was well – made, yummy and full of flavours. My favourites were the chenne kai parchey and methi chicken. Undoubtedly a must try.For the main course, we were served the paneer pudina khass, soya methi bharta, baingan ka bharta, lalla mussa dal, butter chicken, nihari, chicken biryani and mix of different breads.Paneer pudina khass – the orange gravy featured just the right consistency. The pieces of paneer had a filling of pudina paste in the middle, which was quite unique, with a lovely flavour of mint. This dish was mildly spicy and flavourful.Soya methi bharta – something different, this dish featured appetizing flavours of methi.Butter chicken – the gravy was thick in consistency, and the boneless chunks of chicken were soft and well – cooked. It had mild flavours and was tasty.Nihari – absolutely delicious! The gravy was thin in consistency, and the meat was tender. This dish was flavourful.Chicken biryani – long grain rice were tossed with soft and well – cooked pieces of chicken. This dish was palatable to the palate.Baingan ka bharta – perfectly made with sufficient spices, this was tasty and mildly spicy.Lalla mussa dal – this dal makhani was buttery and toothsome. Flavoursome and mildly spicy, we loved this dish.Mix breads – served warm, these were freshly prepared and soft.In desserts, we were served a platter which featured the charcoal rasmalai, topped with a rabdi balloon and baked mango yogurt. The charcoal rasmalai was different and interesting, fairly sweet and delicious. The baked mango yogurt was creamy, rich and offered our palates a slightly tangy flavour of mango. We were served some palate cleansers too. The first round was right after we had the pani puri, and the second round was after the starters. The former was sweet, and the latter was lemon flavoured, hence was zesty.Thank you Signature by Sanjeev Kapoor team for hosting us. Will definitely come back to try other items on the menu.
A restaurant that is a landmark in Dubai and well known fine-dine for its finger licking food, you know that you are always in for a treat if you going to enjoy recipes hand-crafted by the master chef Sanjeev Kapoor. We were here one afternoon for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. There is ample seating both indoors and outdoor and it was quiet as we went in early. With time, the place did get busy. The service is good and I must say quick. The flavors of the food are a treat to the tastebuds. We were first served the Mango & Peach mocktail. Tangy mango with peach served in a water base, this one is a total desi blast. In the starters, we had the Pani Puri – crispy semolina crisps filled with potato lentil mix and served with tamarind mint shooters. Served in a unique way on a stand, the puris were fresh and so was the filling. Definitely something that everyone would enjoy. We had a mango filled liquid palate cleanser after which we had the kababs. In the kabab platter we had the Curry leaf dusted Prawn , Grilled Tawa Fish, Methi flavored chicken tikka, Pistachio and herb flavored Lamb Chop. The prawns were absolutely fresh and very well marinated. The fish, chicken and the lamb chop were perfectly grilled and had some mouth watering flavors. Simply loved the platter. We then had another palate cleanser sorbet to continue with the mains. There was the Dal Makhni ,Paneer Pudhina Khass and Butter Chicken served with steamed rice and Breads. We also had the Mutton Biryani with raita and salan. I am a huge fan of the dal makhni here as it is perfect in taste and flavor – not very heavy or creamy and with the perfect consistency. The Paneer Pudhina Khaas was too good with stuffed panner and a thick gravy. The Butter Chicken again was excellent and went very well with the breads and the rice. The bread basket had a good variety and I loved the zatar roti the best. We ended the meal on a sizzling note (thanks to the liquid nitrogen and of course the brilliant taste) with Charcoal Rasmalai Snow and Baked Yogurt with saffron.
Couldn’t have asked for more when I really got more than I expected at this contemporary Indian restaurant by Sanjeev Kapoor. The things that really impressed me was the great staff including the chef and the service they provided. The restaurant has come up a long way after the last visit and suggestions that were given. This place has definitely upped the standards and I highly recommend it for great food. Pappad platter: the chutneys in the platter were to die for. There is a variety of 5 which are each so delicious and have an element of their own. My favorite of all was the one with mango. Yum o meter: 10/5Pani puri: not just the looks of this but even the taste was absolutely gorgeous. I couldn’t stop at just one although I had different plans of not indulging in appetizers, I still wiped the platter clean. The tangy mango burst that came with this is a super surprise. Do not miss it for the world. Yum o meter: 10/5Starter platter: the most succulent and well cooked platter I had in a long time. Each element be it the chicken, lamb or the prawn was so well done and juicy. You will end up asking for another plate. The marination was made to perfection. Yum o meter: 10/5Mains: Prawns in coconut curry: I loved the presentation of this one however this dish was a bit Sweet for me. Loved all the intact flavours of the coconut which was super balanced and Royal. Yum o meter: 4.5/5Lamb biriyani: one of the best dum Biriyani you could have ever eaten. Yum o meter: 5/5Dal: this day was the talk of my household for an entire week and I still couldn’t get the secret delicious flavours that the chef added to made it just the perfect simple Dal. Yum o meter: 5/5Dessert with a variety of elements: best of the many desserts I have had in a long time. You’ll end up licking the plate. So many desserts in one in this one Rasgulla, Rabdi, Red velvet and Nutella, Rasmalai, Yoghurt brûlée (was the best)Thanks chef and the entire team for making us feel so special and impressing us with not just great service but excellent food.
We visited this wonderful place for lunch. Chic, modern interiors, great music and lovely ambiance. The place is adorned in shades of grey, giving it an amazing look. We had poppadum platter with a variety of delectable chutney and pickles to start with. Drinks – Mangi Passionfruit mocktail – Not too overly sweet with a hint of mint. Very refreshing. Charcoal activated pina colada- the very unusual, yet interesting combination. Tasted good. Starters – Pani Puri tower – An entire tower of pani puri was presented as shots. The chutneys were in separate bowls. Lovely presentation. Even better taste. Starter platter – includes basil stuffed chicken, methi Murgh, arab lamb chops with pistachios & Chicken satay with curry leaves sauce. The meat was tender, flavorful and cooked to perfection. The lamb chops were bigger in size and the crust very well done. Totally recommended. Palate cleanser- Before the mains, we were then presented with a palate cleanser of mixed berries and lemon sorbet. Mains – Lala moosa Daal – with a wonderful story behind it, this dish is slow cooked for 72 hours. Resulting in smooth, rich and creamy delight. Mango Butter Chicken – very unconventional, yet very delicious. This dish has a base of mango, onions and tomatoes. Creamy, silky gravy with tender peices of chicken, this dish is a total delight. Highly recommended. Pachki Murg – Chicken with an Indonesian touch and flavour this dish was mildly spicy and tangy. Tempered with curry leaves, this dish was very aromatic. Recommended. Nalli Rogan Josh – The meat for this dish was falling off the bone. Extremely delicious, this classic was the show stopper. Mutton lovers – Highly recommended. Chicken Biryani – serves in a clay pot, and opened right at the table, this aromatic and perfectly spiced rice delicacy is an all time favorite. Served with yogurt raita. Tawa Sabz – A new addition to their menu, this is a dish which is very popular in north indian weddings. Medley of vegetables, served on a tawa, to be mixed and enjoyed with an onion tomato gravy. Desserts – Masala Chai Kulfi – ever wondered how creamy, rich masala chai would taste with nuts. Presented beautifully, this was a treat to eyes and tastebuds. Activated charcoal rasmalai platter – Juicy, soft and melt in the mouth rasmalai, served with platinum balls, brownies and mixed berry syrup. Truly delectable. Service- Friendly and courteous staff. Prompt service. Thank you for hosting us
