What an amazing experience Friday brunch was at Saffron, Atlantis. The food, and there is an array of dishes to choose from are delicious. You are truely spoilt for choice. The drinks stations are out of this world from cocktails, shots, spirits, beer and cider. They also have a full bar!! You will not be disappointed!!

Good Indo-Chinese food enjoyed by the entire family. Pricing scheme is very reasonable and doesn’t hurt the wallet which is always a great thing. Especially when you have good food. –A drop of ink may make a million think. @AyaashPaw pawanmanghnani.com

We had a good experience here. Firstly beers are reasonably priced at 25aed for a pint. I had the tandoori chicken which was delicious. The chicken was so tender and juicy. My wife had the mutton rogan josh which was also very good. Creamy, spicy and full of flavour. The naan bread was also nice, so fresh and hot.The only thing was that the restaurant was dead. There was only my wife and I in the whole restaurant. But apart from this it was great. I shall return soon.

We went there for the Iftar buffet, very small spread. One thing to start with, never sit on their benches seating! Very uncomfortable. After many requests, they did upgrade to he round tables. The hummus and muttabal in the salad bar tasted nothing like what it is supposed to taste like. The other items like the biryani, kebabs, chicken curry, grilled fish were all cold and tasteless. When we brought this matter with the management, they did bring us a plate of hot mix kebabs which kinda lightened up a other wise a very ordinary experience. We bought the Iftar from deal gobbler at 40dhs which was otherwise 65dhs. 40 bucks was like worth it, 65 not worth it!

Just like the below review said in the beginning, finding parking or even navigating to the right Fortune hotel was quite a nightmare, it took us a good minutes to snake down the little gulley in Naif road to make it to this hotel. There is Fortune Grand and Fortune Boutique at the ‘watertank’ signal so you should know which one to take. This one is Fortune BOUTIQUE hotel. And Ind Chi Restaurant is in the Mezzanine floor.Hotel looks dinghy from the outside but its clean and reasonably nicely done-up inside. We gave valet parking and walked in (free valet- get stamp)We went for this unlimited dim sum deal (Groupon voucher yo!!) which had buffet soup and salad+ their fish, veggie, chicken dim sums on offer (for AED 35 each!! they threw in water and soft drinks for free too!! yay!!). I was politely informed that the dim sums will take sometime (I could imagine all the rolling they have to do) so we were asked to have soup and salads until then. The soup was a simple tomato soup but it was so thick and with perfect texture. Had it with chunks of breads from the bread station (there is a full fledged buffet, additional 25 Dhs and you can go for it). Had the salads too, usual veggies nothing that exemplary except that they had some 10 different bottled salad dressings to choose from, different types of vinegars I havent even heard of. Impressive.2 mins into the salads, we got our first set of dimsums- all 3 types were brought together with prawn crackers and array of dips. Extremely drool-worthy, soft and bubbling hot inside so you want to be careful popping them in (otherwise you would be air-kissing away the heat like a goldfish for a good 20 minutes after the burn!! experience talks!).My favorite type was the seafood dimsum with ‘fish kheema’ as the server told us, chunks of white (salmon-he said!) flesh fish, mixed in with herbs and some prawns. Heavenly. The veggie dimsum also was interesting- had a cutlet type veggie masala mixture into the dimsum casing and steamed into lovely little dumplings. YUM! Chicken, don’t even remind me, it was so good, light and filling. By the 2nd round of dimsums we were mightily stuffed. You dont have to order there, there is only 3 types of dimsums and they will keep bringing it until you ask them to stop.Worth many many many visits- easily some of the tastiest dimsums I have ever had. In Dubai or anywhere!

You may find is slightly difficult to navigate to the Fortune Boutique Hotel in the narrow lanes of Naif Area, especially because there are three hotels from the same brand within a half-a-kilometre radius. Parking here is always a nightmare. Just as I was about to lose me patience, I found a parking slot so was able to finally make it. The restaurant is located in a ‘semi-shady’ hotel that has a sports bar and a dance-bar on the same floor. Once inside, you are greeted by an upmarket and nicely styled restaurant with private dining areas and a buffet set-up on either side.Any restaurant that has bare, green chilly-peppers as part of the buffet display is not fooling anyone by claiming to be half-Chinese – It is totally Indian. The restaurant was empty on this particular evening so I did find the chance to chat up with the chef, who is from Nepal. Although the restaurant serves Calcutta-Chinese and Indian food, they also have cold mezzeh. I know the review seems to be going south for this one because this one seems to be a mix of everything, let me assure you, if you are craving Indian-style Chinese and some great Indian food, this is it. We opted for the unlimited dimsum deal, and were served chicken, fish and veggie dimsums. The portions are gigantic and 1 portion has around 15-20 pieces of dimsums per type. The dimsum skins are thick and have some whole wheat mixed in them so they fill you up real soon. The staff is very sweet and accommodating too.In the end, I give you a green signal to visit the restaurant (if you can brave the trip).
