My friends chose this place for my birthday surprise and I have to say, it was the best decision! The interior decor is charming. It’s a small yet cozy place. We were there were for about 2 hours and not a soul stumbled in making it the perfect place to have some quality time with family/friends.The staff was very friendly, interactive and even played along with my friends to make my surprise perfect!!We went for the Chicken Barbeque Pizza, the Legume Pizza, Gnocchi Sorrentina and the Tagliatelle Gorgonzola and relished each bite. The pizza was made on a wood fire hence giving it the authentic pizza taste! The pasta was exquisite!All in all, a lovely place to meet up with friends in a quiet atmosphere with fantastic food!!

They offer you complimentary garlic bread but the bread was very dry and not at all hot. We ordered the chicken piccata with gnocchi, pink sauce veg pasta and legume pizza(with feta no sweet corn) which was quiet nice.If you are around you can definitely try this restaurant.
It has been a great time in la grotta . a very good place, great team good food we where served with a daily special dessert -fried butter with scoop of vanilla ice cream.
The location was quite easy to find, though it wasn’t that over crowded. Tasty food, great ambiance and decoration. Most of all the service was quite welcoming and quick.
The ambience is so lovely & appealing.it was not much crowded tho, but the food and service was really nice. We loved the barbecue pizza but then the pasta La forno was really plain and cheesyit was pale in taste but then over all it was good enough ! 🙂
I am genuinely surprised that this place has such good reviews for what is absolutely mediocre food. The service an ambience are good though. We were first offered some crackers (slightly chewy) and upon request some dinner rolls while we waited. Our two glasses of grape came next which were the saviour of this meal (along with excellent service from Rahman!). Finally our much awaited food which was a total disappointment. The carbonara pasta was pasta in white sauce with lots of cheese and bacon, you could barely taste the egg and parmesan. My mushroom risotto was even worse cause at least the pasta was tasty. The risotto tasted like rice saut̩ed with mushroom sauce Рno creaminess from the actual rice. Terrible. The bill was AED157 with a super saver voucher, so definitely not worth it!
