Shandiz – An Iranian restaurant located at the Emirates Concorde Hotel in Diera with a very well done classic interior and live music. We went for dinner on a Saturday night and got to see some enthusiastic people of all ages dance along the popular numbers. The whole place is lit up in yellow light with huge chandeliers on the ceiling. Full review on Blog!

Shandiz is a Iranian restaurant which has recently opened in Deira. The restaurant is done up in a very classic way and if you end up coming here in the night you get to enjoy the live entertainment in the form of singing. They have a salad and a soup section in the form of buffet and from there I opted for the soul satisfying Chicken Soup which was comforting. From their extensive menu I went ahead and ordered their signature Lamb Chops which is a speciality dish from a city in Iran called Shandiz. Their Chicken Kebab too are juicy and moist and go well with the Bilberry rice or the traditional Saffron Rice. Pot Roast is another dish which is entirely for the meat lovers, it doesn’t has much of spices and would be apt for people who love pure meat texture. They have another lounge for Sheesha where you can indulge in sweets or beverages we did order for a coffee which took time considering the barista maker was on holiday but overall I did enjoy my time here and wouldn’t mind coming back here.

Woooow what a place ! .. I wented for lunch with my cousin and was shocked with the beautiful decor of the restaurant however the quality of food was same as the decor .. the chicken was soft and tasty .. they have a small salad buffet .. overall in my opinion it is one of the best iranian restaurant in deira.

We often go to Shandiz when we want to smoke sheesha, but this was the first time I tried their food. Their food might be good for people who are not familiar with Persian cuisine, but to me, it was one of the worst. The kash-e-bademjan was still quite fine, but the mirza ghasemi was just horrible! We couldn’t have more than a spoon or two from it. It was sour, and there was no sight of eggplant in it. (The base of this dish is eggplant bdw  )We also ordered the koobideh sandwich, which was basically the koobideh kabab in the form of a sandwich (special to Shandiz only). It was a bland, and mediocre. The only thing which was not that disappointing was the honey cake, which is not even Iranian (how ironic?).However, the live music here is what makes us keep going back. But I would recommend just sticking to the sheesha, hot drinks, and the cheese platter which is a part of the starters.

We went there for food from a la cart they said it is not possible and you should pay 50 aed because we have antertainment and if you don’t go for 120 aed buffet you should pay for that like we have to pay for a concert I asked to talk to management but she has no explanation just told me that I will inform them We wait to see the singer.s but they are also not famous or special so I think they try to make money out of everything
