Sonamu delivers a lovely atmosphere and the option of korean barbecue at your table. While the waiters are lovely the service takes an incredibly long time. The food is fairly tasty and considering the average price point for Korean and Japanese food in Dubai this is towards the upper end of average. A disappointment was the molten lava cake, the recipe / chef has changed and it is no longer as flavourful and delightful as it once was.
We’ve tried their Friday dinner buffet. The selection was good. The grilled beef is a MUST. The ambience is good. The only off for me is the smoke smell inside the restaurant coming from the grilling. But, overall it was a great experience, great food!
A very authentic Korean experience in terms of the menu and ambience. They have a good selection of Korean and Japanese liqeurs as well but their grilled meat is definitely the must try on the menu. You can also enjoy private dining for celebrations in their rooms upstairs which is quite nice.
I can say that we are a regular guests here. Never fail to surprise my tastebuds. If you are looking for an authentic korean restaurant, this is the place. A must try.
I celebrated my birthday lunch here with my family. We ordered the whole BBQ set, seafood jungol and shrimp tempura. All the dishes were good! The beef was tender & juicy plus it matches with the dipping sauces perfectly. The seafood jungol is something that I liked most because of its taste & freshness. The service was excellent. The friendly staff really stand out. What I love about this place is that it has an amazing ambiance that sets the mood into a romantic & positive vibe. Sonamu is certainly a place to go to in Dubai for Korean BBQ! This restaurant is perfect for groups or a date night with your partner. And ofcourse, the complimentary cake was appreciated a lot! Overall, the experience was superb! We will definitely come back for another special occasion to celebrate here!!
Me and my friends are very hungry so we decided to eat here in sonamu resto. We’re satisfied actually. The foods are very nice, the staff are good also. The place is very relaxing. We will comeback again here soon.
