For great keral cuisine this is a place. Uppum mulakum has opened their new branch in abraj al mamzar. Tried their chettinad kozhi rasam which was perfect for this winters. The naattu kozhi was superb. The kanthari beef was perfect with kerala parotta and chapathi. The cute thattil kutti dosa was great with the chutney served along with it. The drink mango melon punch was refreshing and awesome. A must try place for these yummy dishes and great service.

Yummyiness devoured plus the beef fry , the dragon chicken, the mouth watering fish polichatthu , the fruit drink was super refreshing too . UPPUM MULAKUM: Located just in front of Al Mamzar toll gate serves some of the authentic Keralite cuisines. Also they serve Arabic style grills.Started off with fresh orange juice which was delicious and refreshing. One of my all time favourite when it comes to drinks.Appetisers:Prawns (canopy) canapé : Crisp mini, bite sized circular fried bread with a cream and topped with juicy prawns had a finger licking taste. The presentation was awesome and a must try I can say.Beef hot chilly : It was rich in taste and dark in color, highlighting the unique spicy and hot flavour of Kerala or South Indian cuisine. The beef cubes in it was fresh, tender and smooth, while the vegetables palatable and fresh.Main course:Mummy’s chicken: One of the most popular curry in any Indian restaurant around the world with slight adjustments in spices. Aromatic golden chicken pieces in an incredible creamy thick curry. It will go very well with any kind of breads and rotis.Coin paratta: As the name says these small coin size parattas served directly from the tawa were very crispy outside, soft and juicy inside.Appam: A common food in Kerala and Indian subcontinent which is made with fermented rice batter and coconut milk. It’s a type of pancake which is very soft when cooked and is very delicious to consume hot.Chicken Polichath : It’s a typical kerala style chicken dish loaded with coconut pieces, curry leaves with well balanced spices, wrapped in banana leaf and served on a hot sizzler plate. The banana leaf gives a unique aroma and taste to the dish which will definitely make you drool. Mix Schezwan noodles: Thin noodles topped with tiny bites of succulent chicken, prawns and vegetables drenched in a spicy sauce was delicious and aromatic. Kids loved having it.Desserts: Not yet introduced at this branch. The ambience is very lovely with well maintained, neat and clean dining area with ample space. They too have a party hall for family gatherings and any kind of events. They serve buffet too as per our requirements. I would definitely visit again to try their sea food delicacies as we didn’t had any on the day we visited.

We went for dinner here as we heard a quite a bit from media regarding this new restaurant. The place is well spacious and the guys are very pleasant and welcoming. We ordered a round of soups, chicken lollipops, and the munnar chicken curry with kottayam poth curry. We also had porotta with thattil kutty dosa. Have to say the food doest come quick and the guys there have a lack of coordination. Our starter came last and the fried rice too ordered came late. The food is tasty especially the munnar chicken and porottas. The beef was not upto the mark and they do have room for improvement in total.
