Beautiful restaurant situated in Madinat area. The ambience is just simply gorgeous. Zheng he’s serves Chinese food at it’s best. It’s authentic and simple yet so fresh and tasty. We went for my father in laws birthday and ordered a variety of starters and mains. The menu is limited and the veg may find it a bit challenging. The online Zomato menu is not up to date as we were slightly disappointed that they dint have the bbq chicken nor the veg dim sums . But overall the food, service and ambiance don’t fail to impress.
Wonderful experience! This was my first time trying Zheng He – excellent location with a beautiful view. The manager Sherif was very pleasant and welcoming, he recommended what to order (you feel they personalize the menu for you): we had the Jasmin beef ribs, steamed / fried dumplings for appetizers. The angus beef, and prawns from the signature mains. And the green tea fondant for desert. Food was delicious – an exquisite mix of flavors. I also appreciated that the waiter Alessio would describe each and every plate we get on the table. This was a big plus. Very charming place, would definitely come back. (Tip: amazing place for a date)
My wife and I have been to a few restaurants at the Madinat and we were always curious about Zheng He’s. Gotta admit, it didn’t disappoint. The food, service and location was great. The decor was a bit dated but not that big of a deal. We’ll definitely come back and recommend!
Delicious dumplings, great excellent service. Stuff knows menu very well. If u dont know what to eat, they help. Place is a good organised. Simple to get there. If u r member of talise fitness, or having enterteiner dining u can get discounts. Other 20% off or 2 meals for price of 1. Definitely will be going there again for truffle dumplings, noodles and delicious fried with veggies
Had an absolutely terrible time at Zheng He’s. A friend and I were excited to discover their weekend all-you-can-eat dim sum lunch offer, especially since the Zomato promo said it would include unlimited seafood truffle dim sum. However, when we reached the restaurant, they (very brazenly) told us that there was no truffle dim sum on offer, it was written just for promotional value. They did offer us a complimentary order, which was nice of them, but it wasn’t the best. Thick wrapper and the taste of truffle was pretty much non-existent. Never felt so disappointed.Aside from the misunderstanding (or mishap, rather) with the truffle dim sum, the food served was lacklustre and, honestly, quite mediocre. The dim sum wrappers were thick, and quite a few of them had a vaguely eggy smell and taste to them. We were so unimpressed by the dim sum selection and quality that we didn’t even make it to the main course. Dessert was deep fried sesame seed balls that came with a strawberry dipping sauce. The dipping sauce was my favourite part of the meal, along with the free fortune cookies and Waka Waka wine we ordered. It’s the only thing we could bear to take a photo of.Aside from the food, the ambience was quite disappointing. There was a children’s birthday party happening in a private room adjacent to the main dining area, so you can imagine all the screaming and balloon bursting happening. Definitely not a relaxing brunch. The service was fine, hence the 2* rating. Our waiter Surya was patient, and as attentive as he possibly could be, seeing as there weren’t enough servers for all the tables.
