We really enjoyed visiting Kinara, the restaurants interior was lovely, we even got to sit outside next to the fire pit display, it was gorgeous. The staff were lovely and very well trained on all dishes on the menu it was very impressive and educational. Our servers recommended a few dishes which helped us choose what to try. The dishes we had were phenomenal, from the texture, flavours and the presentation was mind blowing. The cocktails were really tasty and refreshing, definitely worth a try. We left the restaurant extremely happy with our visit to Kinara, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. deserttwins.blogspot.com
Such a great restaurant in a beautiful hotel.Tried different food and it was amazing. Favorites are the sweet potato from the appetizers, lamb chops and sea bass from the mains. The service is nothing less than amazing. Will definitely be back soon for a great and easy on the pocket meal.
What an experience! Kinara by vikas Khanna provides a first class Indian dinner for us from the professional staff and the mouth bursting flavours which made our dining experience one of a kind. Startes – Dahi ke Kebab was exquisite in tatste and rich in colour and texture. Sakarkandi ki chat – visual masterpiece by chefs.Main course – highly recommend Tawa fish Dessert – Don’t forget to finish with chocolate molten cake A diverse array of dishes from many regions and tradition across from India . Service was attentive but not obtrusive. Hospitality has shined again at this modern Indian restaurant.
Tried this place a few weeks ago and without a doubt this was the most interesting fine dining experience I’ve had.I’m not a fan of fine dining Desi food, mostly because it’s not the best quality and you alway leave the place wanting more, this place is not one of those. The fusion of Indian cuisine with unique flavors its an art here, everything I ordered tasted so good and different that I will definitely go back there again. Cheers to Vikas Khanna you have become one of my favorite chefs.Massive thanks to our server BHAVNA who was super kind, helpful and is an adorable human being.
Having heard that Vikas Khanna, one of India’s most celebrated and esteemed culinary master was opening his second restaurant, we couldn’t wait to try out the menu. His brainchild Junoon that was earlier located at Sheikh Zayed Road epitomized brilliance in presentation and taste both. With hopes tucked high we were happy with the ambiance, service and hospitality. Needless to say, the servers were polite, friendly and made some suggestions, they know what they sell. The food is a visual treat, however, in terms of taste I was a bit underwhelmed. We opted for the Khatta Meeta Paneer, Sakarkandi ki chaat, paneer launglatika, baingan ka bharta and the famed Kinara roti and other breads to pair with the main course. The starters arrived shortly after placing the order and they looked divine. However, a few bites into it and i found the paneer to be a bit chewy and the khatta flavor was missing. The skarkandi chaat was my first ever. It was cooked brilliantly and the spoon sliced through the sweet potato without a fuss and with minimal supervision. The sakarkandi chaat came decorated on a bed of boondi and cumin labneh which were refreshing. the shakarkandi however lacked the sandalwood taste that I was looking forward to, given the chaats description . The paneer launglatika was beautifully presented, however the gravy was a bit too sweet for my liking and did not pack a punch. The paneer turned out to be a bit chewy. The other side dish we ordered was a baingan ka bharta, and although it was a good portion size, it had a lot of matar, and made me feel like it was a matar ki sabzi and baingan ka bharta was just added to it. The bharta lacked the smoky flavor one looks for when eating this staple north indian dish. The kinara roti was a good one, thick and filling and resembled the saate ki roti our mothers make at home. The tandoori roti and naan cane overcooked, slightly charred too. The naan was rubbery.I was disappointed with my dining experience here and maybe more so because having tried his food before, my hopes were high. I will still however come back for more food in future as I am certain that the restaurant is still in its starting phase and will eventually improve significantly too. Meanwhile, delicious desserts, especially the chocolate cake. It was every bit satiating.
