Last week we visited city walk for a photo shoot and this cafe was beautifully located overlooking the coca cola arena and hence we crashed here for the late lunch. We ordered main course and desserts together ,since we were so famished.Trust me their crispy fish biriyani and fish machboos was flavorful and loved itLamb harees was well cooked and mashed with the right proportion of lamb flavor, nor too much or too lessAnd do try their nutella luquimat, one of the best in town .Definitely coming back to try more kuwaiti dishes onehungrygirl.com
Cafe Bazza serves Kuwaiti food and is beautifully located at City Walk. They have outdoor seating as well, and is perfect for this weather. Their interiors are nicely done, giving an Arabic touch to the place. The staff is also dressed in a traditional Arabic way. Coming to the food part, tried a variety of dishes from here. For drinks, Bazza cocktail is what I chose and it was pretty good. It had a strong strawberry flavor though.Greek salad and hummus with bread came next, the salad was super fresh, light and enjoyable. The salad had cucumber, mixed capsicum, black olives, cherry tomato, basil and feta cheese.Chicken wings with hot garlic sauce was good, loved the sauce even though I felt the chicken was probably slightly overcooked and hence hard. Crispy combo consisted of samosas, pakora, potato fry and kebbeh. I enjoyed pakoras the most, was crisp and good. The potato fry was not something I enjoyed much!Tanoor bread with keema was basically Arabic bread with minced beef, peas and keema topping. This was a decent one.For main course, we tried their murabyan which is an authentic Kuwaiti rice with shrimps dish, served with a spicy dip and some pickled veggies. Loved this one! This was definitely the show stopper of the evening. We also tried their chicken grandmother style. This was basically chicken with cream of mushroom, cheese and potato. Tasted more like a lasagne. This was also a good dish.In desserts, we tried their famous kunafa and Bazza ice cream. Kunafa was decent, though I had better expectations. The Bazza ice cream was delicious, it was Oreo biscuits with ice cream. Overall, an enjoyable time I had with fellow bloggers; good food, awesome climate, and of course good service.
Kuwaiti food is very much like alike the Middle Eastern cuisine but has its own twists and customization. Our server, Bilal suggested some great dishes from Kebab to Machboos Lamb, Shawarma Chicken to Al Shamiyah soup.Loved each and every dish served. We ended our meal with Kunafa and Karak! Best karak in City Walk for sure!
The place is big and can accommodate groups or large sum of guest. Btw, it was my first time to try Kuwaiti Cuisine and it was such a nice experience. I love their mix grill and wafra cheese and egg you have to try it. Lovin the vibes in here also.
Located right next to the coca cola arena in city walk, this is a great spot for some Kuwaiti food with both outdoor and indoor seating. The interiors were very nicely done and staff dressed perfectly to the theme. In terms of food we started out with the bazza cocktail(4.5/5) and vimto(4/5). After this for starters we moved onto crispy combo(5/5), spicy potato(5/5), liver(4/5) and Shakshouka(4.5/5). In the mains we found our favorites including the bazza style chicken wings(5/5) which was topped with hot garlic sauce to give it a unique taste and the prawns biryani(4.5/5) which had good quantity of king prawns & correct level of spices. We also tried the lasagna(4/5), tanoor with meat(4/5) and the grandma style chicken(4/5). Last but not the least, the cookies with ice cream was an amazing dessert(5/5). Kunafa(4/5) and tanoor bread with cream cheese(4/5) and honey were also good. Overall definitely a great place to head to when you are in the area.
