Food quality is very bad, not like before, I have been here quite 3 or 4 times before and it was good but now tasteless noodles, tasteless fried rice, stinky shrimp, smaller portions, Curry was ok but not very special, a bit watery,,, Very slow service, we waited for the bill for almost 20 minutes, for the steamed rice more than 5 minutes.Never go there, JW marriot sent us a voucher to use, I asked the team in the restaurant before we start if we can use it, they said yes , then at the end they said no you can not use. Unprofessional how they deal with a costumer!!Very dark, you can not see what you are eating!
Good range of dedicated and delicious #veggie choice as well. Nim & Sari & all are very courteous at service. Luv the crispy warm #crackers served complimentary at the start 🙂
Perfect for date nights! Or fancy dinners! Good food with good ambiance! We ordered chicken dumpling, they were okish very sweet! Then we ordered the tiger prawns which were okish too as they were very blank! For main course we ordered green curry and coconut rice which was amazing and a must try. Also ordered the red curry which wasn’t bad but a little too sweet. Very sweet and helpful staff!
Came for a birthday dinner and my 5th return visit. The restaurant was packed and staff friendly but rushed off their feet. Delivered drinks without straws, the sampler wasn’t up to scratch: options changed since last visit and the satay was cold unfortunately. Thai curries were good but not exceptional. The overall experience seems to have come down a few points perhaps as it has got busier. Kudos to the staff for excellent attitude and genuine Thai welcoming, however I felt the food not a standout as it used to be.
The restaurant the walk through the hall is always spectacular and gives u a feeling of lavished restaurant..Someone guided to the table and it was a nice walk..When we first hear about Thai food , we think of all the different varieties of spices chillies galangal lemon grass and an authentic aroma which makes this cuisine different than others in many ways.. No doubt after Peruvian, thai is 2nd best cuisine for me..Dined in here before as well but food tasted different than ever..Thod mun koongIt’s prawn cake.. outer part slightly crunchy, nicely presented and softly fried but taste was absolutely bland.. I felt it was boiled mashed prawns with no spices or flavours.. This particular dish was returned..Tom yum koongSoup was filled with Prawns and different types of mushroom green and red veggies.. It was served in a nice bowl..Looked awesome but Did not taste good..Spice level was mediumFlavours were different I didn’t feel the kaffir lime or the lemon grass a very slight coconut aroma was coming but it failed to display the taste of its authenticity..Unfortunately I returned this item too after having 3 spoons of soup..Kao pad gaiChicken fried rice.. It was good and I loved it..Beef green curryAgain failed to satisfy my pallet as it was just milky curry with some veggies and beef..Lychy and mint MocktailsNo flavor of lychy in the mocktail but it was a mint drink overloaded with sugar..Server was JOY and she was great..On a Friday place gets overly booked and crowded.. Well still when I visit a place of such hype and in a 5 star hotel where the restaurant already got so many awards of best thai restaurants and etc I expect it to manage the group of guests in a timely manner.. Needless to say original thai food is absolutely different and you have to change a bit of taste and look of the food when u r serving multinationals under same roof.. But this experience was far below my expectation..I placed the order at 9pm and soup and prawn cake came in half an hour ..Beef green curry and rice came to my table at 1010 at night.. That’s good 1 hr 10 minutes to wait despite reminding them couple of times.I offered my feedback to Joy and very courteous of Tong Thai they did not charge me for the items returned..Hope next time the soup and appetizers ‘ll be good..
