This place is getting better as they look for a winning recipe – the evening buffet has now been extended to a themed nights. As a guest in the hotel, this is much better as you can quickly get tired of the normal menu. They have also recently added a reasonably priced alcohol offering also.
I came here for iftar before. They have a wide variety of menu and surprisingly theres actually a lot of guests coz i must say the food is good and the place is quiet decent. Hope i can visit again on the normal days
Affordable and flavourful buffet!I had a great experience at Day and Night Restaurant. I usually do not trust buffet food as the taste is not great as ala cart. But their buffet is definitely flavourful. Lamb is fresh and doesn’t have a smell, great choice of main dishes and there is a live station where you can see the food is being prepared fresh. Great job team!
If you love authentic arabic iftar (Like Us) then head to the day and Night Restaurant Located on the Ground Floor of Mercure Hotel Barsha Heights, Day and Night is a perfect place for pure and Authentic Arabic food. We went for their Ramadan Special Iftar Buffet, It has an arabic style setting with music, The dining area is spacious with lot of seating spaces, the place is well lit neither too dark nor too bright. I really liked the way the dishes were spaced and placed in separate areas all the dishes were individually named and were getting filled/replaced on time without waiting. The live Kebab station was excellent with choices of Arabic sujuk, sheesh Tawook, Shawarma, Lamb Kebab. Choices of salads were very good with different dressings. Drinks were Jalab, Rose Water and Vimto we really loved the Jalab and Rose Water. The Main dishes were also very good with lot of options. What we liked ,Our Recommendation (Ratings out of 5)Iftar Items – Dried Fruits and selection of dates (4/5)Soup – Lamb Pasta Soup Slow cooked to Perfection, Lentil Soup (4/5)Starters – Sujuk, Sheesh Tawook and Shawarma (5/5)Salad – Fatoosh Salad, Thousand Island Fresh Fruits, Hummus (4/5)Mains – Mansaf had the distinctive Traditional Jordanian taste to it We really liked it very much, Kofta Sanieh was too good, Goulash was evenly cooked, Seafood Pasta was tangy and saucy (4/5)Drinks – Jalab and Rose Water both were refreshing and flavourul (4/5)Desserts – Umm Ali, Brownie Topped With Oreos (3/5)Service was great all the food was hot and was refilled on time, the place was house full but still no wait time at all. (5/5)Some suggestions – The Lamb kebab was little dry could have been better, Sweets were okay but not great, cake should be a little fluffy it was dry.BONUS – For Kids there was face painting as well and it was really good.Location is easy to find and accessible – right outside the Dubai Internet City Metro Station, and free valet parking is available.Price is reasonable – 120 AED PP with group discount option, They also accept Entertainer vouchers as well.
Recently we visited the restaurant for lunch ,the food and service was really very good,it was a nice experience.staff was very polite and friendly.
Every Thursday it’s Arabian Delight in Mercure Hotel, a lavish Arabic buffet is served at Day and Night restaurant . The buffet has a wide variety of salads , starters , main course and desserts . Along with entertainment. Total value for the price as the service and food is great . Specially to talk about Ouzi or Quzi , it’s actually Iraq’s National food which later became a famous middle eastern rice dish , it is usually prepared by stuffing the whole lamb with rice, vegetables, spices and nuts and slow cooking it . The ouzi here is really delicious and well cooked , smoked baby lamb . There were few uniques dishes which I have never noticed earlier in any Arabic buffet one of it was the cow’s feet cooked . Cow, leg cooked in spices tasted really good . Also the meat stuffed in pastry sheets and baked . In main course we even loved the mahashi , baby marrow stuffed with meat . Baked fish in Arabic spices also tasted great . We loved the fact they make fresh pizza for kids. Kids totally loved it also the fresh ice cream cones . Desserts were just okay I felt more varieties could be there . Other than that We loved the food and service . shabosphere.wordpress.com
