I visited this restaurant while on a training. We had a set menu for two days and i must say the food and desserts were amazing. The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the hotel and the staff are very accommodating. Their desserts platter was just so amazing. I look forward to visit again and explore more from their menu. aboutfood.ae
A great morning spread awaited us each morning. I enjoyed 4 days of stay at Holiday Inn and a major part of it is because if this Marvelous breakfast buffet. It’s a never ending buffet as described. The counter starts in 2 rows- First rows start with Danish pastries and Croissants (almond, chocolate and a few more) and is followed by a variety of jams (raspberry, honey, Nutella, orange marmalade and a few more). This is followed by bread (white, brown, and long loaves). This is followed by milk (soya, low fat and cream milk) and cereals of many kinds. This is completed with soups of many flavours and additional items kept aside. The second parallel buffet line consists of many fruits and bowls filled with plain and strawberry yogurt. Cheese, vinegrette dressing, ranch sauces are lovely and go really well along with fresh lettuce, mixed lettuce, shredded carrots and other greens. The second line doesn’t end here. Non vegetarian items like ham sausages, Lasagna, barbequed items were tasty as per my Dad, though I didn’t try them. There is a separate counter to prepare egg omelette and other egg dishes. My dad was a fan! Then there is a separate counter for catering to Indian foodies- starting with hot Chinese noodles and Fried rice. It’s followed by either Poha/Idli- Sambar / Rajma – Roti- Paratha- Onion Paratha! There is a separate counter for tea- chamomile, peppermint, earlgrey, and so many others. You shall be happy and feel blessed to be here even for one day! I was here for 4 and it felt like heaven!Must visit in my opinion. The staff is quite lovely and quick inspite of the crazy crowd.
BURGER REVIEW!My husband and I have visited many places in Dubai for burgers and the Prime Burger at Gem Garden is consistently one of the best tasting at a great price! The burger is big and juicy and will definitely satisfy a big appetite. The steak sandwich is also quite good. For the price and quality, I am rating the burger here 5 stars.
Was invited for Iftar earlier tonight. Buffet is quite extensive with a selection of international dishes. There’s a lot of choices for salads and mezze and traditional Arabic desserts. Iftar staples like dates, lamb ouzi, Ramadan juices, and Arabic coffee are also available.Loved their Arabic mixed grill that I paired with tabbouleh salad, though I found the tabbouleh a little too sour. I enjoyed the jallab, macaroni with bechamel sauce and minced beef, cheese katayef, and vermicelli kunafa with cream. The kunafa with kishta would have been another favorite if it weren’t in a pancake. I don’t know but I just find the all-soft-and-mushy texture a bit off and I still prefer kunafas with vermicelli. Mark was raving about the kahk dates, which I unfortunately wasn’t able to try.I also love that they serve Iftar for a cause. For every Iftar meal, 4 needy persons will be fed. Make sure to dine here for Iftar to help feed the needy!
