Went for the iftar buffet. For starters 2 soups one veg lentil soup and in non-veg Lamb Broth. I had the lamb broth was different had taste.Main course was a bit disappointing because there was no grill items like kebabs or chicken tikka which ideally should have been there.. other dishes like mutton biryani , daal makhani and chicken shwarma roll , chicken gravy items were fine wasnt that great.. Dessert was nice. Overall I believe there should have been more options , there was less variety in maincourse.

Visited this place after buying a Cobone. If you’re driving over they have a valet or you can park yourself @ the basement, which is a bit of a tight one especially you have a big car. The staff @ the restaurant were courteous and attentive. Now for food; soup they’d just one, a lentil soup, which was real nice and both my kids slurped down quite a lot. Bread station was also vast & the quality was above average. Salads were average with no major standouts but good enough variety. Main course were not very many but some the items that I’d tried, lamb shanks and Shish tawook were real good. Deserts were vast in range and quality was good too. Overall for a buffet of AED 50 for an adult, it was good.

Since the holy month of Ramadan I have been trying out different places for Iftar and oh my I have had quite a bit of good ones this time. Promenade is one of the recent places I tried out. The restaurant being located at the lobby level of Four point Sheraton hotel had invited me to try out their version of Ramadan iftar buffet and Yes of course I was thrilled to see what they had to offer! The Iftar at promenade started off with a personalized dates, pistachios & cashew platter with my handle written in style – wow impressive is the word! The restaurant had quite a spread of salad section along with choice of drinks wherein I chose the Jallab (my favorite Ramadan drink). Choice of soup was available too. The menu is quite limited which allows one and all to try a bit of everything. Moving on was the spread of main course with options of gravy, stew and kebabs. I wished if there were more option of dry items to enjoy along with naan rather than more of gravy. At the end of the main course was the option of Vegetarian rolls & spring onion and for the non vegetarian’s kebbeh. A separate bread station is also provided with a variety of naan, bread & stuffed bread + choice of dip / spreadThe highlight for the night would definitely be the Chole station with the Indian naan. I loved that a live cooking station was present for the same – definitely made a difference. The next was the desserts: of course I would end my meal without it :)Made sure to try out all their desserts – a mix of Indian, Arabic & international pastries. I loved the Jelabi, Kunafa and Basboussa to be more precise. We ended our meal with a cup of coffee and bid farewell.Overall enjoyed Iftar with Four points Sheraton at Promenade. A limited yet enjoyable buffet experience is what would be offered here. Do try it out all for AED 89/- soniphoenix.wordpress.com

Promenade – This restaurant is part of Four points Sheraton Hotel, and everyone knows this name. It is located in very well-known and busiest area of Dubai, bur Dubai. No really very difficult to find this place, the connectivity with metro and bus is very good as wellThe restaurant is located just when you enter the Hotel, it has old authentic interior and has very Arabic touch in interiors. Promenade serves international cuisine, recently I dropped my anchor to enjoy there Iftaar buffet. Service is prompt and staff is courteous Since it was Iftaar buffet, they have big spread of salad, desserts and starters, they have live station as wellIn the SALAD STATION they have many varieties to go for, with different dressings. In drinks they had JALLAB, MIXED JUICE, LASSI to go for. Also they had delicious SEEKH KEBAB, and very authentic and hot VEGETABLE SAMOSA, simple yet delicious ROASTED POTATOIn main course choices were bit less, for vegetarians ALOO GOBHI SUKHA was a good choice. For non-vegetarians BEEF CURRY and MALABARI FISH CURRY was made with perfection, which I enjoyed with steamed rice. Apart from this in rice they had CHICKEN MULKHIYA Selection of desserts was wide and choices were more, I enjoyed authentic Arabic MAHALABIA and indian JALEBI. Apart from this UMALI and RICE KHEER what could have been better. BAKED CHEESE CAKE was good in taste, but taste of cheese was missingFinal Verdict – Overall my experience with Promenade was decent and I am satisfied with food as well. I guess desserts could have been much better, rest other things were good and delicious. i liked my name on my plate, it gave a personal touch. I will surely visit soon in future spoonforklove.net

A limited and tasty Iftar? Yes please! And at Promenade, you will find just that:) Located in the heart of Bur Dubai at Four Points Sheraton which has been in existence since I can remember, this lobby restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets. We were invited to a bloggers event and our welcome couldn’t be much warmer. We each had a personalized plate filled with a variety of dates and nuts on a base of scrumptious white chocolate which had a hint of saffron.Isn’t that cute? I couldn’t stop obsessing over it but finally had to pull myself away to taste the food and I was very happy with the veg options! The salad bar was filled with over 20 options and the feta cheese was one of the best i had ever had!The juices were what Ramadan is all about with traditional Jallab and Lassi and Rooh Afza which were refreshing and perfect to accompany our salads.Breads were thankfully limited so it was not confusing as we could taste a bit of everything! The french toast was so soft and delicious with some butter and feta! From their main courses which consisted of Sauteed Potatoes, Okra Stew, Aloo Gobhi, Daal and Rice, i personally loved the Potato Cauliflower (aloo gobhi) and the sauteed potatoes. I ended up taking way too many servings than i am proud of:)And to go perfectly with this were delicious mini vegetable samosas and pakoras which were great for sides! And the best part, they had a live chole kulche station! The chole was really good topped with garnish of tomatoes and onions and the kulche were light and fluffy. The chef serving them was very warm and hospitable and ever smiling. He literally helped us with anything we wanted. We could also choose to have soft drinks and each of us opted for our favorites! The dessert station had a mean chocolate mousse and muhallabia and we all relished them. They also had a date and dry fruits section along with some Arabic coffee which was served after Iftar.Priced at only AED 89, I would say it was a steal considering the variety served.
