One of the many South Indian cuisine restaurants at a budget friendly rate. It’s just beside the Al fahidi souq. Always they have lots of customers.I tried the masala egg curry with Kerala paratha. At 6 dhs the egg curry was a steal. In my place from eastern India, we fry the boiled egg first before dunking and cooking it in the curry. Here it was the boiled egg directly in the curry.So the taste is a bit different. But fine enough.I will come again for other dishes.

The service is quick, the staff is welcoming, the food is oily but tasty. Its a Basic Kerala restaurant but the North Indian food did not disappoint us.Ordered for Chicken Biryani and Paneer masala and Kerala paratha – 3.5/5. i would rate it a 4 but out of hygiene concerns rating it 3.5.
Searching for the budget food options in Meena Bazaar, we found the Tasty Village which is favourite spot for bachelors. If it’s favourite for them, then the food will be good. Read the reviews and thought of ordering. We ordered Chicken Dum Biriyani and Chicken Fry Biriyani. The rice and the masala were really tasty. Loved the dim Biriyani than the fried one. Will order more as it is really affordable and food tastes really better.
This is one of those gems of a cafeteria that serves a mostly bachelors clientele. If you get to order here, ask what is available to the waiter, rather than going through the menu as this place serves based on what is available for the day. This being a place to get kerala cuisine for the cheap, I was surprised to find good Indo Chinese cuisine served here too. Had parathas, veg Manchurian, kerala style chicken fry and mushroom gravy. Ambience is spartan and service depends on the rush here. Otherwise, the taste of fresh food served here on reasonable prices is worth the wait.
It’s the best and value for money restaurant in meena bazar, the only problem is very less place, But food is very good and the staffs are also very good
