Visited this restaurant on a Wednesday night for the Asian food festival buffet. The ambience and decor is gorgeous. The staff are extremely warm, friendly and hospitable. We were taken very good care of . The buffet has a variety of Indian food (kebabs, Biryani, gosht), Korean, sushi, dimsums and Thai . For food personally I liked the sushi corner, the Asian broth soup, the black pepper prawns, beef, red Thai curry and the chicken kebab. However I felt the desserts could have been better it was about ok. For desserts I only liked the blueberry cheese cake. They could probably have more variety of chocolate desserts too. Overall I enjoyed my experience.

Multiple Asian cuisines in one grand buffet!I had heard a lot about the restaurant, 24th St. in Dusit Thani in Dubai – I was looking forward to try their Asian Night Buffet on Wednesdays. We visited them for dinner and simply loved the ambience of the hotel and restaurant as well as the spectacular layout of the multicuisine buffet. There is lots of seating with a beautiful view of the Burj Khalifa and the surrounding area while you dine. They have several counters: Kim’s Korean (Authentic Korean food), Chatakana (Indian chats, kababs, rotis, etc.), Momo San (Japanese sushi, etc.), Lucy Wong’s (Chinese soup, starters, etc.), a salad bar and an enormous dessert counter!!Here is a review of what we tasted from the various counters:1. Soup: You can choose from several raw ingredients of your choice and the type of soup, which is prepared fresh by the Chef. I chose Tom Yum Soup with shrimp, pakchoy, mushrooms, etc. It was authentic and superb!2. Dim sums: The prawn dimsums were delicious and the accompanying sauces enhanced the taste.3. Skewers: The beef and chicken skewers were tasty and done to perfection!4. Chilli crab: It was cooked in a spicy masala that was superb! 5. Japanese salad: It was something new for me, but it was interestingly tasty.6. Salad bar: The varieties of salads were delicious.7. Gravies: The beef, chicken and kofta gravies were very good.8. Indian food: The vegetable biryani was tasty as was the paneer gravy. The kababs were delicious too!9. Chinese duck: It was well done and moist too – nice way to celebrate Chinese New Year!10. Beverages: The coconut water and mint lemonade were chilled and refreshing. The cutting chai was aromatic and delicious!11. Desserts: We tried a variety of desserts like: red velvet and blueberry cheesecake (and other varieties), profiteroles, creme brulee, black forest cake, etc. all of which were excellent! There were also marshmallows with a chocolate fountain beside them. There were so many desserts that it was not possible to try all of them after a filling buffet! The staff is polite, friendly and efficient, and service is prompt and excellent. Special mentions are : Lily, Denis, Trupti and the Supervisor in-charge, Danelle who took good care of us. The ambience is wonderful and the table setting is lovely. Free parking is available at the Dusit Thani hotel.Note: Soft drinks are included in the buffet; alcohol is available at the bar and is not part of the buffet. Also, although this was a buffet arrangement (being a Wednesday), a la carte is available on other days.Price – 4.5/5Presentation 4.5/5Taste – 4.5/5Service – 5/5Value for money – 5/5Ambience – 5/5OVERALL – 4.75/5 Subscribe to our YouTube channel – RipplezzGalloreFollow me on Instagram – @carolmathias17Like us on Facebook – @RipplezzGallore
We visited for their all-you-can-eat-Asian Wednesday and the place took us to an asian street food heaven – all of our favorite asian cuisines in one place! The set up was very homey and the food, everything was a must-try! We truly enjoyed every dish we tried. What stood out about the place for me, aside from the array of delicious, mouth-watering cuisines, was the excellent and consistent service (thanks to Lily and Dennis). Kudos to the whole team for setting great standards when it comes to taking care of their guests – truly world class. All them were very friendly, attentive and they listened to all their guests’ needs.
The rating is for the concept of Pan Asian cuisine and the ambience and service. The food is average. The choice of dimsum is not too great in taste. The starters were nice which were the crispy fried tofu with khimchi and the avocado prawn roll for better half. Veg options are very few in the south East Asian menu and what I had as main course was veg version of Jajangmeyon – I could barely go beyond a few mouthfuls and left it after consuming 20% or so. It lacked flavour. Better half was fine with his Singaporean laksa noodles. No doubt the concept is a great one but the food taste really did not tingle our taste buds.
Located on the 24th floor of the Dusit Thani hotel, 24th St Dubai, is what happens when street side flair meets 5 star sophistication. In true Dubai fashion, 24TH St. makes its mark as the first and only Asian eatery offering these six distinctive cuisines in a street-style setting, amplified with a bustling atmosphere, contemporary eclectic décor and stunning views of Sheikh Zayed Road, DIFC and Burj Khalifa. Guests can make their journey through a myriad of bold flavors and spices, served from the six dynamic kitchens The ambience is vibrant and colourful, reminiscent of urban hawker stands in Asia. Cooks will prepare the food in open-plan stations. But instead of going to each stand, you can wait at the comfort of your table.Open for lunch and dinner, we visited this Trade Centre Area gem for a cosy and casual weekend lunch. To start we sampled a variety of dishes and cuisines: from Kim’s Korean we tried Nakji Bok-kum (AED 49) and Japchae (AED 49); from Momo San we tried the Tempura Prawn signature roll (AED 59), Salmon Avo Maki roll (AED 52) and Kimchi; From Chatakana we ordered Tandoori Jhinga (AED 105). We wound up our food with Rasamalai and Japanese Cheesecake.Nakji Bok-kum had stir fried baby octopus with carrots and mushroom. It’s a popular sweet and spicy Korean dish and was mild on my Indian Palate, but delish nevertheless. The combination of Octopus and Mushroom was delightful. It was also my first time trying Korean Cuisine, so I was really excited to try it out.We then had the Japchae, which was essentially glass noodles tossed in with beef, mushroom and vegetables and served with boiled egg. This is a dish I went back in again for a second helping.I have a weakness for sushi and I loved the sushi at 24th – both the prawn tempura and salmon roll were amazing and soothing to the palate. From the Indian menu, we ordered the Tandoor Jhinga, which is jumbo prawns marinated in Indian spices and grilled to perfection. It was served with lemon and a side of finely sliced onion, carrot and coriander leaves. The Prawns were coated generously in masala and grilled to perfection. I enjoyed the taste and flavors thoroughly. We rounded up our afternoon with some Red Wine and desserts.Rasmalai is juicy cottage cheese dumplings served in milk cream garnished with pistachio slivers. It was absolutely delicious. We also tried the Japanese cheese cake w=served with berries. It was perfect and not overly sweet, combined with the fresh berries and a gorgeous calming view of Sheikh Zayed road. Drinks wise 24th St is fully licensed and offers a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The ambience gives you the best of street food that you would so desire away from the hustle and bustle, in comfort and style. The seats are evenly spaced out, giving it’s diners the needed privacy to enjoy their meal. The staff is very attentive and are well informed about the different cuisines. We skipped on trying Italian, Chinese and Arabic cuisine, but I’m confident that they would have amazing food to sample as well.24th street is an extravagant celebration of street-food from 6 countries that have – from the beginning of time – stood as a fine synonym for the best street side fare. That coupled with a beautiful view and exemplary service makes this a must visit place.. urbanmodish.blogspot.com
