First time at Chez Charles located in Design Distric. Nicely decorated restaurant with comfortable sitting. We went for dinner on Tuesday evening so the place wasn’t buzzing which is to be expected mid-week. We ahd the Angus Beef Tartar (perfect as a main), the Black Truffle Gnocchi and the Grilled Lamb Chops. The food was delicious, tasty and portions were very adequate. My beef tartar was perfect and the chips crunchy on the outside and soft inside. We had ice creams and sorbets for dessert and these were very good too. The lemon with basil sorbet was a very interesting combination and I really enjoyed it. Our waiter was friendly and polite although I wish he hadn’t cleared our plates when our friend was still eating. This seems to be a Dubai thing which let down many restaurants particularly themore expensive ones !. Despite this we will come back for sure and recommend this restaurant to our friends.
