I was there a week back , we had iftar buffet . I loved this place, the food , the friendly staff . Food is tasty , variable , good quality. One comment on pasta , there was a live cooking station but unfortunately it wasn’t well cooked Overall it worths it.
We had iftar today at the ballroom Crowne Plaza and we really have a mixed experience.The spread of the buffet is huge with a number of variety which looks very yummy on pictures – btw we were attracted by the pictures on zomato as well – and we were welcomed very well by the staff from the hotel.However the ballroom decor is not like how it is shown on the entertainer application, so do not expect any decor and the sitting is very basic which was very unpleasant and disappointing for a buffet at Crowne plaza.The very bad surprise was when we tried the food : unpleasant tastes, all the food was COLD, desserts without flavor and full of sugar to balance the lack of flavor, the live stations which are supposed to serve fresh food gave us very dry meat and fish, no flavor ramen and for some when we asked questions to the staff about the food we were visibly not welcomed.I felt more like in conference with a buffet at the end rather than in a luxury hotel buffet and the price of AED 199 is definitely not worth it even with entertainer voucher.The top of the experience was when I asked for a tea or coffee and I have been told that it will be an extra cost…We did several iftar buffet in Dubai during ramadan and this one is so far the worst.The quality of food and ambiance is definitely not there for an AED 199 buffet in a luxury hotel.
When it comes to Dubai the motto is to go big or go home and at the Jumeirah ballroom at Crowne Plaza Dubai , definitely brought there a game to the iftar buffet. This was by far one of the grandest buffet I have seen in Dubai. They had separate sections for Arabic food, Japanese food, Italian food, Indian food and salads, fruits. They had a beautifully decorated beautifully decorated Dessert Counter too.I started my meal with some Dates and salads followed by some Ramen noodle soup and some Indian street food. I tried almost all the dishes but my favourites for the salads, pasta and Indian food. As I could not eat deserts I got a big thumbs up My family. Overall it was a very loyal experience with a big ball roll designated for our seating and a massive area for the food. The best part was the Cute little kids play area which kept the kids Busy while the adults good enjoy the meal. Price – Aed 199 ppTaste: 4/5Ambience/Decor : 4/5Service : 4/5Value for Money : 4/5
