Average food with below average service for above average prices .I have been here a few times from office and tried a variety of dishes, none of which are worth recommending. Tried the batata Bararia, lamb platter, chicken grill, hummus, and fattoush. It’s all passable but that’s about it. What’s worse is the wait for someone to take the order, a longer wait for the food, and an even longer one for the bill. Needless to say, I avoid eating a meal here unless I’m required to accompany someone.

Went there for an office lunch. Good ambience and service.Starters – Hammous and BabaganoushHammous was good authentic lebanese style. The babaganouse was smokey, I didn’t really like it.Main course – lamb chopsThe lamb chops were well marinated, but overcooked and a bit chewy. Don’t expect perfectly cooked medium well done meat. Not bad for a quick lunch, the flavours are good. Just don’t go there with really high expectations.

We wanted to have some Mashawi today, we have this place in our office building, so we tried them out, it was totally worth it, the food is nice, quick service, polite staff and helpful. Looking forward for my next experience.

Very tasty food but a bit pricey as well. We went there for an office lunch and took hummus, tabouleh, liver mix and 2 mixed grills with some drinks. The breads served with the hummus was soooooo soft and went really well with the liver mix. The grills were also nice but only meant for one person. All in all it was a good meal. However, I would like to mention that the cafe should have some big tables as the food was not fitting in the table and we had to make a lot of adjustment to keep the food. Plus the attendants are also not at the top of their serving as they made mistake in charging double for the salad.

I’ve had food from this restaurant a couple of times we had training at the office. I’ve also dined here thrice. This is conveniently located near our office so it is good for both delivery and dine in. The outlet itself has a good layout with plenty of tables. I’ve always liked the food here. The place does not scrimp on fresh ingredients in producing good tasting dishes. I don’t consider this place the best Lebanese restaurant but this is one of the good ones. My favourite here are the shish taouk and grilled chicken. My last visit was with a colleague for lunch. We had shish taouk and grilled shrimps. The shish taouk was good as expected. I enjoyed the strong combination of garlic, yogurt and lemon flavours. The shrimps were also good. Each one was grilled just right, juicy and flavourful. I liked the subtle zesty bite. Karam Cafe has been consistent on food quality based on my experiences. The other thing this place has been very consistent on, though not something to be proud of, is poor service. If not for my colleague’s insistence, I wouldn’t have gone back here. The place is normally busy; it was the day we went. I know that makes things more difficult but the staffs do not help themselves by being so disorganised. My last visit was so bad. First, nobody attended to us when we came in so we just helped ourselves to an empty table. Then, it took long before someone give us copies of the menu despite asking several staffs. Placing our order was not any easier. When we finally managed to get someone’s attention, another staff interrupted and pulled the guy away when we were in the middle of placing orders. By this time, a number of customers were following up their orders. My colleague then stood up and approached the manager and gave him our orders. It took forever for food to be served. The couple on the table next to us was so irate and decided to cancel their order and left. Another group followed shortly. I thought of doing the same when the manager approached us and said the food was coming. Shortly, the shish taouk came out but the grilled shrimp took much longer – another 20 minutes or so. We almost cancelled that one. Billing out was also a pain. We asked three or four staffs for the bill but it did not come. We decided to stand up and stay by the counter until we got someone’s attention and was finally able to bill out and leave.Service was so disorganised that the team looked like headless chickens running around. The manager did not help the situation because he himself looked flustered and overwhelmed. He keeps walking around but without really impacting the service. No matter how much I like Karam’s food, there is no way I will be going back, not even upon the insistence of others.
