Vishnu Narayanan and I came here on a monday and they had all maki rolls plate for dhs25 which is a really good deal. We tried the spicy california and more maki rolls which tasted very fresh and very delicious and filling. The ambience of the place was very nice especially the decor. A great place for a fancy sushi dinner for a resonable price.
So, after hearing so much about them, I knew I had to visit. They are located on the lower ground level of the mall. The interiors are aesthetically designed with cherry blossom trees, samurais in swords and so much more. You can either sit indoors or head outdoors for an amazing view. Since we visited during this cool season, we chose to sit indoors. We did sorta regret the decision though, as the service was slow. Also, I believe their prices are quite high for the portion and sushi rolls size offered. I’m not sure if I’d visit them again though, as it didn’t live up to it’s hype.
I’ve been hearing a lot of good stuff about this Japanese restaurant (Tanuki) for quite a while but it was only last month that we were able to finally try it. Well, rumor has it everything was so good. Me and my husband tried 3 sushi varities and Tanuki did not fail us. The ambiance was also very nice, it’s a Japanese themed restaurant with a modern touch (I’m talking about the led display on the ceiling and of course the robot! Definitely coming back 🙂
The ambience of this restaurant is spectacular where they have a small little robot at the entrance of the restaurant holding up the menu. The staffs are friendly dressed up in the Japanese robes. We tried several sushi’s here where the best dish was the chia pudding for dessert.Dishes Ordered:-sushi- mochi ice cream-dumplings-prawn tempura-mango smoothieFood: 5/5Quantity: 5/5 Ambience: 5/5 Quality: 5/5Service: 5/5
Ordered oshizushi and beef yakisoba. Well the yakisoba is not exactly what Japanese people can cal yakisoba but still it was tasty. The oshizushi was very nice with quite rich salmon in fat and flavoring was also exquisite!
Food was okay, nice ambiance because of their japanese theme interior design. But the service is slow, one main course came super late, we’re almost finished with our food when it was served.
Visited this restaurant after viewing the reviews on Zomato. One of the best restaurants in Dubai Mall. We ordered theTempura Nori (Highly Recommended. Perfectly crispy on the outside and saucy on the inside)Crab Chicken DimsumsHar Gau Dumplings (Must try. Simply superb)Edamame ChilliEbi and Yasai Tempura (Must try. The shrimps were cooked to perfection)Sake Taco (Highly Recommended. This was the best dish out of everything I had. One must definitely try it to know how delicious this is)Teriyaki Tori (Must try. Everything on the plate were tied together very well)Tyahan SeafoodDrinks:Lemon Grass Mandarin Iced Tea (Wouldn’t recommend this one. Tasted quite bland)Mojito (Must try)Mandarin YuzuHawaiian BreezeAll the dishes were plated and presented very well. The service is good. The prices seemed reasonable for the ambience. Overall, a very good experience.
