This is the best restaurant to dine-in while staying in Rixos. They serve authentic Italian food. The service was prompt. The food was great. We tried their set menu option which was properly designed to meet all kinds of customer expectations. Authentic dishes prepared with a lot of devotion and care. A very good experience overall
When you visit a fine dining restaurant at a luxurious hotel, you walk in with a certain level of expectations. Especially when you inform the restaurant beforehand that it is to celebrate an occasion. Unfortunately, the service was utterly disappointing and the staff was quite rude. We placed our order with a server and he may have been new as we had to repeat the order thrice but he also repeated the order back to us to ensure if it was correct, which was great.But we were still served the wrong dish. Now, this is understandable because mistakes do happen and we were not going to hold it against him. But, another server came around and snapped at us saying ‘you should have been clear in what you have ordered’. We were honestly surprised, considering they messed up the order and this server tried to put it on us despite reconfirming the order. We didn’t want to ruin the mood of our occasion hence we let it go in that moment. We ordered drinks and unfortunately again, the order was brought in incorrectly. This time, I tried to speak with the second server (the rude one) and he cut me off twice and spoke in an overbearing manner. You would think that the staff of a sophisticated hotel with a high-end restaurant would know how to talk to people but clearly not at L’Olivo.We have to remind them to bring the cake and the overall experience was a disaster. The food is average and it is definitely not worth the effort of driving all the way to L’Olivo at Rixos the Palm as the staff is rude and unpredictable.Not recommended at all as the overall experience will just ruin your mood.
