I tried their afternoon tea. Staff is extremely friendly though sandwiches selection didn’t impress much as well as desserts. Though the atmosphere is very relaxing there

Situated on Ground floor and opened whole day till late from 7 am to 1 am. This is relaxed placed for having a high tea this summer. We tried Jasmine Gold and Cafe latte with Hot Chocolate ..Jasmine tea was just perfect for taste and refreshing. The snacks option- tuna sandwich was good and date pastry was awesome. Mango Danish pastry delicious and service was good too with care to our requests. Add to it live piano in evenings add magic to this place.

This was my first high-tea experience. I went with a lot of expectations and was a bit disappointed. The service levels are not so great. They seated us and pretty much forgot about us and we had to actually get up and go look for staff to ask for anything we needed. I went with a friend. So while ordering I specifically mentioned that I was vegetarian and she was not. And yet we got the entire platter (which came 45 minutes later!) as vegetarian. Then we had to request for non-veg portion for her and that took another half an hour.So here’s what I was served as part of the vegetarian finger food- cheese sandwiches, cheese and pickle sandwiches, guacomole in buns, tomato and fava beans in buns. I mean really I was expecting something more innovative from a place as classy as the One & Only Royal Mirage. Oh and there was an accompaniment of hummus and greek salad with kubbus as well. The scones with clotted cream and jam are absolutely delicious and my motivation to give them a rating of 3. The tea I had was also very good, a fruity blend. The macaroons and baklava are also out of the world. I did, however find the desserts a bit disappointing – the Chocolate eclair and brownie were too dry.Overall I think they need to work more on their service levels and the vegetarian spread. The ambiance is lovely and its a shame to have it put off by these factors. Value for money is also fair it costs about 105 per person.

One & Only Royal Mirage is one of the most charming hotels in the city. The place is full of character and beauty offering a beautiful and calming ambience.Samovar is one of my favorite lounges in the city if I wish to spend a quiet afternoon reading or relaxing in a tastefully designed space that’s soaking in natural light, offering a view of the property. This lounge offers a nice bar food menu and an extensive beverage menu. The food is quite good but I enjoy it more for its ambiance and serenity and would recommend it for the same.

This place is definitely a hidden gem when it comes to afternoon tea. It a peaceful and quite place with decor of a palace. One and only may be misconceived as an expensive place to dine in but not The Samovar Lounge for its high tea. The place is easily accessible and great for small birthday parities, baby shower or even bridal shower. It has a very sophisticated look. The menu would include small sandwiches & bagels filled with tuna, salmon, Turkey, chicken and vegetables. They will make a tray full of vegetarian delicacies for vegetarians on request. The little cakes are a treat, the macrons are a fulfilling stuffing – we got chocolate, pista and caramel in our tray. The scones are to die for and the jam + cream served will make you feel like a king. Their teas are special too, some of the options are very interesting. They also serve the tradition filter coffee, but I must say I have had better than served here. All and all a wonderful experience and feel. Will definitely come back

Attended the elegant afternoon tea at the Samovar Lounge, One&only Royal Mirage and thoroughly enjoyed it. Due to the weather our group of about 11 ladies were moved to an intimate, cosy room with large windows and doors that quite resembled a lovely Victorian room. I started with a peppermint blend of tea which was perfectly complemented by a lovely two tiered tea tray filled to the brim with little sandwiches filled with tuna, salmon, Turkey, chicken and cheeses respectively. A little plate with chocolate macarons and Baklava found themselves next to two types of scones with clotted cream and jams. The sandwiches were lovely as were the sweet treats but the highlight of the tea tray had to be the scones. Absolutely delectable and a must try, especially that clotted cream! There were also vegetarian tea trays. This indulgence was followed by a dessert tray filled with chocolate and strawberry tarts, eclairs and other little pastries. I also tried the Red Berries tea which is delicious and perfect for those who prefer fruity blends as this one comes infused with strawberry and raspberry. I had only one complaint which was the slow service (impeccable though). Ladies, I urge you to go enjoy a lovely sophisticated afternoon at the Samovar, you won’t regret it!
