I really like the atmosphere at the W XYZ bar on the 4th floor of Aloft Hotel in Deira, to begin with the view, it is magnificent, u see all Dubai in front of you, it might sound funny but when you sit on the comfortable couches enjoying your drinks, listening to music, you feel like you want to fly!! What I have also noticed is that the indoor space is big and has huge couches that can accommodated a company of at least 10 people without squeezing each other. My friends and I have a preference to this bar because also they are big fans of shisha and this bar offers great shisha with many flavors. And there is also a big screen showing the major athletic games so the males of our company are thrilled everytime there is a soccer game. Considering my self rather as a foodie, I can speak out about the menu. It is exactly what somebody is expecting to see in a kinda gastrobar where you can have a big choice of beers and wines along with typical american fast food like the delicious black angus burger I always order, the chicken slider, the smoked paprika shrimps, beef taco etc. Also there are some great dishes to share with friends while chatting and relaxing, such as the chicken popcorn, the amazing waffle potatos, the chips and dips and the spicy buffalo wings that are definitely to die for lol. The menu offers also 4 different salads for some of us who want to keep in shape lol, my favorite is the kale avocado with cherry tomatos, berries, and pomegranate. At the W XYZ there is also happy hour with 50% off bites and bevies every day from 4 PM – 8 PM and also ladies night every Wednesday that they have a very good female dj. With happy hour and happy music you want to satisfy your craving with a cocktail of course and here comes the movie cocktails menu which is inspired by classic movies. I have tried so far the ‘Forbidden fruit’ with apple brandy, sherry, apple, lemon and pear liqueur, the ‘Zombie’ that combines two different rums shaken with apricot brandy, citrus syrup and pineapple juice, and the ‘Balerion’ which is based in the famous Greek brandy ‘Metaxa’ : I picked it because I am Greek born and wanted to taste the Metaxa brandy again after so long and honestly, it was one of the best cocktails I have ever tried cause of the distinctive taste of Metaxa combined with peppermint tea, chocolate syrup and cream. As a conclusion, I feel like home when I go to W XYZ bar because the staff is so friendly and smiley, and super fast. I like a lot Leonelyn, is a sweetheart!
A good place with sufficient seating for larger groups. Valet parking available.Good indoor and outdoor seating.Staffs were friendly too.Decent pricing.
