Its a great place with a perfect setting and terrace. But nothing much on the menu, food in particular is not that great and even the quantities are too small for a dish. Not on my future places list.
After a very tough summer season, dubai is all set for the winters. I personally love Dubai winters, I find it the best. There is so much to do and one thing I absolutely love is spending time with my friends in a sheesha lounge. Amwaj Rotana has recently launched their new sheesha rooftop, Fumo lounge. We landed in Fumo on a Friday evening and the experience was amazing. The place is done up really well with a friendly and courteous staff. The place is ideal for sheesha, drinks and they cook up some good food too. We started off we a couple of sheeshas and cocktails. Their blueberry sheesha is a must try and we loved the fact that it lasted longer without being a pain in the throat. Fumo has a wide selection of signature cocktails and mocktails. Our favorites from the drinks were the Moroccan iced tea and the raspberry mule. The Moroccan iced tea complimented the sheesha really well. If you guys are feeling adventurous then go for the alcoholic Iced Turkish coffee. Coming to the food, we got the cold mezze to start things off. Really loved the avocado baba ghanoush and the toasted pumpkin and tahina purée. I love a restaurant when they serve freshly baked bread with the cold mezze *brownie points*. From the hot starters, we absolutely loved the sujuk which is a spicy lamb Flatbread and the chicken falafel was delicious too. We also got a nice Arabic mix grill which was amazing. It had lamb kofta, shish tawook, lamb chops and jumbo prawns. Fumo also serves some really good maki rolls and the tempura prawns were super crispy. We ended on a sweet note with two of their best desserts, kuNafa and chocolate lava cake and we enjoyed both. I would definitely recommend this place for a lovely winter evening in Dubai.
Good ambience and courteous staff.. food however is average.. under seasoned and sometimes bland. Tried the buffalo wings, mixed grill and lamb chops as well as caesar salad , tempura prawns and fried calamari. All were average especially considering the price. The tiramisu was good though. The mocktail drinks were lovely.
