The restaurant is located on Bluewaters Island by the waterfront. It has beautiful views of the palm and JBR. They also serve shisha and alcohol and have some amazing deals during happy hour.Finding the restaurant within bluewaters is a bit of a challenge as the sign boards are not enough. We ended up asking the security on patrol for help.The restaurant has two levels and they serve shisha on the upper level. They have a balcony area upstairs if you prefer sitting outside but it is better to make a reservation as they have very limited outdoor seating.The restaurant interiors are very chic and make it perfect for a cosy date night or even a business lunch for that matter. They have ample seating for large groups too.Some of the staff is really very helpful. They keep asking you if you have everything you need and are did not hesitate when we asked them for recommendations.We started our meal with a glass of red wine and a whiskey from their happy hour menu. Contrary to most restaurants where they serve the worst type of wine possible for happy hour, the one here was really decent and you might even end up getting a whole bottle by the end of the night. For starters we got the chicken skewers with eggplant and the cheddar cheese sticks with cranberry sauce. The cranberry sauce was so delicious and went so well with the cheese sticks! The chicken was very juicy too. For mains we got the salmon with mashed potatoes and the shrimp bowl. The portion was actually quite big so we could barely manage to finish all of it. The wild rice served in the shrimp bowl was seasoned very well and paired really well with the veggies. For desserts we got the Tiramisu and the oreo ice cream cake. The Tiramisu especially was so delicious!! Made me want to order another portion but I was already so full that I could barely manage to finish the first portion.Overall, a great place with good food! One of the best burgers I’ve eaten lately, the ketchup burger! Probably a little side of fries with the burger would have been great! We ordered the fries and the dip separately. The place is usually crowded and I finally know why. They have great quality food, friendly service and a great ambience.We also ordered a chicken keiv which was absolutely delicious. It was filled with flavor and was accompanied with potato mash. Although it did take a little longer to prepare, we’re not complaining!We definitely recommend!
There’s a lot happening at the Blue Water Island and Ketch Up is definitely one of the places that seem to be getting popular.Having been there for just about a year now, they serve food that is of brilliant quality. They have indoor with a large area for smokers on the first floor were sheesha is served too. The outdoor seating was packed given the great weather. We were served by Angelina who was helpful and knew her job.We started our meal with some fresh juices. I called for the ABC (apple, beetroot and carrot) and the husband called for a Cucumber and celery juice both of these were extremely fresh and delicious. From the starters we called for a Grilled Avocado with Shrimps and spicy sauce and a Cheddar cheese with cranberry sauce. Grilled Avo and crispy shrimps is a fabulous combination, great flavors in every bite. I would highly recommend this one. The Cheddar Cheese with Cranberry sauce was something very unique, haven’t tried anything similar before however loved it. For the mains we called for a Chicken Kiev. This is an organic chicken breast encased in crispy bread crumb filled with garlic dill butter, served on a bed of mashed brocolli, such amazing flavors, this one was a treat to the taste buds. We also called for a Grilled Salmon served with mash potato, garlic, broccoli and a creamy ponzu sauce. The Salmon was grilled to perfection and tasted great with the mash. We ended the meal with a Oreo Shake and Honey Cake. The Oreo shake was a monster shake thought it wasn’t very heavy like they normally are, it wasn’t too sweet either and I really enjoyed it however the honey cake was disappointing. It wasn’t moist and was hard to cut however the overall experience was really good.
An elegant looking restaurant which has a wide range of varieties to choose from, definitely stands out. The quality, quantity and service of this restaurant excelled through the roof. The servers are super friendly where everyone is dressed well.
