Nell gwynne has turned in to my new local, love coming here for a few drinks after work, nice place to chill with friends, the band is great, and the staff are amazing, they have a great British pub menu with what I think are the best fish n chips in dubai you def have to try them.
Ok so let’s be honest here. It’s not haute cuisine and top of the range ambience but sometimes – that’s ok. If you want good, honest down to earth British food then Nell Gwynne is the place to be. The combo roast was AED58 – for 3 different meats with all the traditional trimmings including apple sauce, horseradish and mustard. The chef has been here now for sometime and every week it’s the same standard. I’ve never had a bad meal all the times I have visited over the last 3 years. Add in happy hour beers for AED25 and you simply can’t go wrong!
This is a right place for a beer/cider and football! The staff at the bar and specially the most friendly guy -Nicolas really helped us out by changing the channel to our football match! As for the food: Fish and chips was great, really enjoyed it, accompanying each bite with a sip of cold Magners. Hope to visit you soon!
