CASUAL & RELAXEDFor sports lovers this is a great venue. They have massive screens, offering both indoor and outdoor seating. The lower deck is more popular and a little exclusive if you get the corner tables. Food here is good and the servers are attentive, totally loved the service. Would definitely recommend the place & will be back.

If you’re looking for a quiet evening with friends then this is definitely a place to catch up. You can add a little zing to your evening with some of their lip smacking finger food and mock tails.
Wonderful, spacious and elegant. Right from the entrance, to its spiral stairs and its huge screen you can already feel the spectacular vibes of this lounge/sports bar. Very spacious seating, cosy sofas and a large bar serving all types of beverages. Great for watching big football matches as they have a huge screen and amazing ambience.
Went for lunch today with some very good friends who stay at the hotel frequently.Service was superb as always.We ordered the marguerita pizza with French fries, hot dog, steak salad and a hot pot.Everything was served together and special requests were catered for with ease.Sports bar atmosphere with big screens showing the latest matches and events. Worth a visit
‘Shades’ is a stylish sportsbar and lounge in Le Royal Meridien. When you enter in here they have a couple of tables in one corner and a bar on the other side. Also, there is a stair case leading you downstairs to a massive area, with different types of seating arrangements. They have an outdoor seating as well. The decor is fantastic. The ambience feels more like a romantic sports bar! The lights are dim with red, black and white seating. There is one huge screen, visible from every end where the sport is being displayed. I was here to try their Baileys (Baileys is an Irish whiskey and Cream based Liqueur) and I must say, it was the best i’ve tried till now. Rich in flavour and exactly how it’s supposed to be. It costs 50 AED and worth the price.The staff and their service were really proffessional. They do discuss the food and drinks well. I would recommend you to visit Shades with a bunch of friends who are in to sports. A local sports bar would be more fun though.
