Very nice environment and kind staff. All sweets were good but still could be improved as per traditional British standard 🙂 Since it’s close to my area, I would like to come over again.
I booked an afternoon tea at the lobby lounge with a friend on the 7th of December. I was amazed by the service and the overall interior decor. There was a live pianist and the lounge was decked out for the holidays. I chose an outdoor seating and waited for them to set a table for us. After we were escorted, the first thing I noticed were these wet stains patterned throughout the table cloth, it looked dirty. Although the set up inside was immaculately clean, our table was not.I ordered the traditional treat package which started with sandwiches and moved onto the mini pastries and scones. I was gravely disappointed at being served stale breaded sandwiches with lack luster filling. Even the classic cucumber sandwich was a miss somehow. The chocolate eclair tasted stale as well. All in all it was a disappointing afternoon tea and one of the lowest ranking on my list of afternoon teas I’ve tried.
Enjoyed my hi tea with a dear fried. Cozy environment, calm and peaceful to have a laid back evening. I ordered the earl grey tea and my friend ordered some Chinese tea and we enjoyed it. Hi tea was presented well and the savory items were better than the sweet. Overall good experience.
This is where the tradition of afternoon tea has begun for me and maybe thats why it will always be the best afternoon tea in dubai for me. I have been here many times and enjoyed every time. Previously the platters didn’t offer many savory items, but at my recent visits last month they have a better variety and selection. My friends and I really enjoy the scones here too. I have tried their club sandwich and chicken wraps all really good. Just love this place and it is one of my go to places for afternoon tea.
