A nice small bakery located at Fairmont the Palm. Not a huge range of variety but it does the trick on a lazy afternoon. Just had the fruit danish which was not bad at all.
I had gone to Palm Jumeirah for a meeting with a client. After completion of the meting I started craving something sweet. Since Fairmount was nearby I decided to go there. Upon Zomato’ing, I found this place – Delicacy. A very small and cute looking bakery. They don’t have a lot of options like any other bakery but that doesn’t make it any less better. A good selection of cookies and freshly made bread and some amazingly delicious looking cake slices. After much confusion whether I should opt for the Carrot Cake or Fruit Tart, I chose the Carrot Cake. There is no place to eat there, so you need to get it packed and sit in the hotels all day lounge – Mashribiya. The huge slice of cake looked so delicious and tempting that I couldn’t wait to have it. The cake was really good. A perfect blend of spices. I just felt it was a little dry and the frosting a bit too sweet for my liking. But nevertheless I still want to go back to try the Fruit Tart.
